Wondering along what can i say today? As Gandharvika wears flame grape color, one can taste the shade. Mahaprabhu wears deep blue and Giridhari swirls in traditional yellow instigating the highest of mellows. And i'm in over my head is all that needs be said. Petal and leaf garlands of Gandhavika Giridhari "they look so small" the maker lamented "I like Mahaprabhu's, it looks so open and full".
The New Delhi freight train fueled up today and made the run to the capital of computer chip valley. Some pedalers are bent to get into the future. The racers are keeping warm and the errand runners are taking it light all along the way. Passing aside the freeway some cars sound their horns to encourage the freight train in its path. The creek trail is divided between pedalers and joggers. Slowing to slip between the runners high up the last hill in the granny gear on to the lgb the famous shotgun house on the left and the shark tank filling. At last the seva asrama comes into view where Mahaprabhu's sandhya is waiting for me.
Returning to find that Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari are dancing late into the night in plain sight. It causes one to rub his eyes and think "do I see them dancing?" then recovering "No, it is not possible for they follow a tighter schedule than that. So i have to check and make sure i'm only dreaming.

The schedule's funny and i don't know why, excuse me while i dress Giridhari in his purple waist coat and dhoti. Am i seeing Thursday on this Friday? Which ever it is the pujareye cast his spell over the monterey bay. Gandhavika's heart shaped garland from a special guest maker has the dalias smiling for the world.
The gecko had to fix the wheel today then around the shopper's corner past the king and hog farm. All along the harbor to the sunny cove and then the wharf road catches my eye with the time for the vaikalika. After that it was back between the raindrops keeping in the dry while pedaling past several trainers who surprise surprise waved and smiled which they don't usually do cause they're all too cool.
Deep within the far off jungle there is a flood and the Lord has left the jal mandir to dance with the nataraja. And this evening Giridhari and Gandharvika engage in their highest pastimes while Mahaprabhu assisted their servants.

Though the date will say Friday this is really Thursday the 27th
On Radhastami, when this outfit was offered, and I was thinking of a name nothing seemed to be there. Just then on of the folks exclaimed there are bells on Gandharvika's skirt that should inspire you. The name had come, She'll be there with bells on. Today sees jewelry that, though old, is new to this outfit.
Pedaling today left me hanging from a star, the gecko took me far, around the pavement mall then back to the sunny cove to hear the fog horn call. The wharf nears the opal cliff and then the public radio to the tennis park where the recumbents were out in force. All along the windmill's path the sufferers shivered in the evening chill, which sent me sprinting back for the kirtan.
After the seeing the star i had fainted dead away. Coming down i saw that Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari were dancing late into the night. i thought they'll just want to go straight to bed. But was i wrong as soon as i went through the door, they had me help them into their night dresses with such speed i could scarcely believe it.

A Superstar? Right you are all shine on, like the mosquito hawk that flew through the Tulasi circumambulation this morning. Bhakta Blade was so freightend that he jumped from one side of the room to the other through the whole kirtan. His holiness opened the door and tried to convince the hawk to go that way but that just wouldn't do. The mosquito hawk kept flying while Bhakta Blade became more jumpy and freighted. Summoned all his courage and opened the back door and as the hawk took that as a chance to escape, he performed a dance as if he'd driven the snakes from Ireland. That just the beginning of the full moon day that sees Gandharvika and Giridhari with toe tickling garlands on their pink, white and silver outfits.
Pedaling on the giant ocr1 usual mahamuni's afternoon post box run. Twenty-four miles, twenty-four reasons for pedaling, deity shopping but no significant mail. Then all the post office and snob seem to fade into the town's scene and all the folks still haven't heard the news. The warm weather has brought out hundreds of pedalers in all kinds of dress pedaling for all kinds of reasons. The gecko says hey and the jazzercise, the harbor and the windmill all go by. On the wharf road a driver seams to have a comment but over his rap I can't (refuse to) hear. Back for the sandhya when a salamander had to be chased out of the temple much like the mosquito hawk this morning
the warm nights are back, at least for now so tonight in their Lotus Nails, the Deities dance all night.

Gandharvika, in the line of history, today has a beautiful blue sari, Giridhari's yellow coat and dhoti flying in the breeze and the combination of the two, Mahaprabhu has his mango with a green chodder and sash. Devi, Laxmi, Sruti-gana dharani lotaowe, gopi jana adhikara raowata gaowe. Seeing their wonderful arati ceremony, Uma, Laxmi, Bhumi and the personified Vedas roll on the ground in ecstasy.
Sprinting to the gecko so i could talk with him before he headed for home. Rounding the corner and seeing some pedalers on pink cruisers passing the street food place that uses organic produce 'cause they love your body, then around the harbor between the lakes and down the east cliff into the village by the cement boat. Back to the hook where a few hardy sufferers are coming out of their wetsuits. By the commercial radio to the windmill and then the hog farm. Passing the theater on my left is the gecko on his way home. Coming around the people's park and the dog wash i see one pedaler going along with a small saddle on the back for his child but with no child he seems to be going very slow and the as i over take i see that in front of him is an old timer with a smile on his face ten miles wide. Along the redone road the daylight is going faster than a Kentucky moonshiner so i know i have to end in a sprint to the asrama door for the kirtan.
Bhakta Blade was there this night when the lions club did it's farewell tour. So many years and Mahaprabhu's kirta is getting just to fuzzy and Giridhari's coat is so hard to put on him that they out weigh the fact that Gandharvika's outfit looks so good.

Long time ago i hear tell that a royal doctor saw a peacock feather and how it made him shiver and fall from the king's high platform. And in the forest of Jarikanda Mahaprabhu watched the peacocks dance in wonder. So with the feathers embroidered this one's called sikhipicca camara, a peacock fan.
Mahamuni's post box called today. Then it was past the small park under the pass up the snob hill to the opal cliff and around the windmill to the harbor, theater and the gecko who calls me by every day. Back to the jazersize and the redone road. Between the lakes where the cruiser patrol pedaled in formation. On a Monday the sufferers are sitting and flying at home. A quick market visit and the kala rupa asks for my presence in the kirtan hall.
Learn to play the karatals and sing hare krsna all night long while the Deities wear their night dress called baby blue.

Yeah, yeah, i know the date says monday but it was Sunday. It took some extra stuff since the power was shut off. Yellow, olive and red. This one shows the humorous nature of the Srila Guru Maharaja as i've probably said before. The reverse pleats and Mahaprabhu with a vest instead of a chodder are the things that make this one unique. The rich Chinese silk as always lends that luxirious soft look. "there aren't any flowers" the garland maker said. Using leaves they were stretched. Some of the leaves had hitch hikers that needed to be taken away.
No rain no rain no rain today. The pedalers were back in the saddle. The gecko had put away his umberella today. Around the corner and past the redone road to the sunny cove where there was some sun today. The time was drawing short and so the wharf road saw sprint time and then the long winding trail back for the sandhya.
The touch that kills, another Nrsinghacaturdasi dress. The swirling, dancing feeling not usually associated with the lion but the smooth as milk night dress somehow connects them.

After the week of Lalita Saptami, Sita avirbhava, Radhastami, and talk like a pirate day they tell me it's Ekadasi, then i awoke, was this maya's joke? No for sure it wasn't, it was the real deal with Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari in their first rainbow outfit, that is it has all the colors of the rainbow. So they might wear it any day of the week, a candidate for the Ekadasi day which also comes any day of the week. Garlands of i'm so gladiolas to day that shown brilliantly in the beginning but wilted by days end.
Pedaling away even in the face of a rainy day. It seemed that everybody was in a car and i was the only pedaler in the saddle today. Even the gecko had an umbrella as i spoke with him this afternoon. The cruiser king was under the tarp too. The folks at people's park had their cardboard boxes complete with topses too. In the harbor the boats were all tethered. Between the lakes the sufferers were gone and the windmill was barely spinning. So i had to throw in the towel and return to the vaikalika service.
The rain has past at least for the night and so the Deities may venture out in their most blessed event night dress to sport in the moon light.

In Vrndavana there is a tamarind tree where Mahaprabhu went and was reminded of the pastimes of Radha and Krsna by the waves of the Yamuna. Feeling separation from Radharani and contemplating what pleasure She experienced from her love, Krsna also visited that tree. It is said that that tamarind tree is where Gauratattva began. In this outfit the yellow dhoti of Giridhari and the blue sari of Gandharvika have combine as the green dhoti and kirta of Mahaprabhu. This is undoubtedly “the high priced spread”
As I pedaled between the lakes I came upon a traffic cop who cut me off while I was sprinting. Later I passed along the harbor where some boaters completed their launch but I don't believe they knew anyone was watching. At the corner the rain fell through the sunshine, a divya bath, and the gecko knows an addicted pedaler when he sees one. Over the opal cliff on the way to the wharf I passed a pedaling family and I don't think they knew my cousin ben. Returning between the lakes I came upon a traffic cop who cut me off while I was sprinting back for the sandhya service
After a rainy day the Deities slip into their deep within the far off jungle night dress to take rest for a moment and also engage in their pastimes with happiness.

An outfit made of jewels and peacock feathers tied with the seamstress' hand Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari come showing their pastimes to invite the lost souls to engage with them in eternal service relationship and Mahaprabhu's ankle bells jingle. The yellow roses of the parivyome mixed with a couple of red make the garlands today that gently follow their moves in the dance of sankirtan
Pedaling past the gecko en route to the morning star. After watching the sunrise off past the kutir of Bhakta Blade. Then swing around the natural bridge where the tourists aren't and back down watching the skateboarders flip through the ramps and jumps in the park that they've made for themselves. Following the erudite and going beyond to see that the gecko is just now on his way home. The harbor calls me on down to hear the laughing tale of an ancient mariner. From that katha on to the asrama where there is new paint.
With the lion on the chase the Deities happily hear the fifth note of Giridhari's celebrated flute. While Mahaprabhu sees it all in an ecstatic trance.

This year's Radhastami alinged with national 'talk like a pirate day' so this outfit offering a night dress, was named "Riding on a horse of a different color,Vamsidas babaji enters Marakata Mani Puri talking like a pirate." Entering the puri he exclaims "Avast me hardies! Should we see any pisaciras we'll send straight to davey jones' locker! ”
The good doctor’s wife gave Gandharvika’s sari while the solid pink of Giridhari and Mahaprabhu came from China. The brocade pink came from India with a prabhu of no name.

Today i'm also the post carrier for the devotees. Posting their payments while combining that with checking the box of Mahamuni, i climb snob hill once again. Then descending through the village i see a band of recumbents pedaling along and give them a high sign as out paths cross. Passing the wharf it's quiet in celebration of Radhastami no doubt. i go along the east cliff to the sunny cove and pass the windmill on my right. A left at the public radio takes me to the theater and the gecko says "Hi". A gathering at people's park speak like pirates as i pass by sprinting for the sandhya, which is to be the beginning of the Radhastami celebration. Returning one of the folks ask if i've set any showering records lately. i say last week i was clocked at :58.3 seconds. Then i fly to the arati.
This evening i only remove the garlands and jewelry to allow them full freedom to dance the night away and if they need to take forty winks, there will be no discomfort

At the sound of the conch shell the demons run, look out y'all the Deities are about to come, the Thakuras in their Nila dress, Nila dress on. Giridhari with his blue coat and chodder to match, Gandharvika's blue sari, Mahaprabhu's sequins and they all have peacock feather hats. Offering the incense, Vrndavana flower, just goes to so how love conqures power. The Thakuras with their Nila dress, Nila dress on.
Mahamuni's post box is the dominate destination this week. Then up the snob hill to the wharf and the village. Tracing the opal cliff to the harbor and then the theater to wave to the gecko, salute the Cruiser King and then the hog farm to the astanga yoga center the redone road between the lakes. A fleet of tandems are on my right and they slow down to let me by. Sufferers cross the street boards in hand and skaters take up the lane for pedaling. Then it's on to the soccer pitch from there the wharf road and back to the sunset meditation.
Pralad-a-dad this evening. Offered on Nrsinghacaturdasi, this one features a paneled skirt for Gandharvika, Giridhari has his vest with cumberbund while Mahaprabhu has a plain sash to settle vision from the other orange and beige.

A picture of a new outfit in your mind is lit
but the tailor says you can't afford it
demand makes the price skyrocket for his kit
all the same when the curtain opened on Janmastami all the folks flipped.
In the end the seamstress scored another hit.
The marigold garlands will make my rhyme quit
Once again mahamuni's post box was the first stop and then the snob hill to the opal cliff by the sunny cove at the left the windmill comes on the right this time. Between the lakes to the public radio then to the redone road a left at the theater and the gecko smiles from his wheel and then i round the corner to the peoples park then past the jazzersize to the harbor and then the wharf road and back for the sandhya and it's good since it's waiting with no one for the service.
The east Bengal is called the Radhadesa and this one's called baby blue. This evening is warm like Bengal and so they feel right at home while they enjoy their night time pastimes

Devoted Pralad's heart outpouring
The avatar of the lion roaring,
Demon on his lap expiring
The lion went to ahovla and washed his hands enjoyed some sweet rice, having rescued the earth
Offered this orange and beige dress, Guru Gauranga, Gandharvika Giridhari celebrated the appearance of Nrsinghadeva.
Fluffy dalais in shades of pink donated for the Deity's seva make the garlands today.
From the asrama past the florist and the market of flees, the hospital and hives of the bumblebees. Along the avenue and between the lakes the windmill comes on the left and the sunny cove is on the right. Staying between, trying to remain light, from the east cliff to the wharf road to complete the flight. Returning in time for the sunset show.
In the ninth Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari load the bases with their inner circle and perform their pastimes to the fullest extent of their satisfaction

A few years ago lotuses, dragon flies and Bengali magic permiated the air and this dress was offered for Janmastami. The crowns always steel the show because they over flow with silken flowers. More suspended animation garlands as both when they went on and came off petals fell everywhere.
Off again to mahamuni's post box where nothing was in store. Then to the fruit market around the village and the snob hill up the back road to the gecko rounding the turn past the car dealership where the radicals once put out the window and then over the bridge down the toad road and to the soccer pitch. Keeping the pitch on my right i head for the wharf road and the long and winding one to the asrama and the sunset service. Along the the dui cakra ratha pracara leader came up behind me and chased me to the door.
The warm night and the most blessed event sees the Deities ready for their evening nap and perhaps one last dance.

Usually the dress decides which crowns will go with it. But in this on the crowns came from India and the seamstress let them pick the color scheme for this one. Gandharvika's veil was also a piece that didn't come along with the rest of the dress but it's close enough that it fits and the seamstress didn't want to cut it. Even though the garland maker spent twenty dollars on the flowers for the garlands they were still suspended animation garlands.
Off to mahamuni's post box and then up the snob hill one more time around the opal cliff and the windmill between the lakes along to the toad road then past the basketball park to the fruit market and then hardware store back through the hospital parking lot and the golden touch to the gecko rounding the cruiser king to the harbor up the wharf road and onto the long and winding road that leads to the sandhya service door.
The nights are cooling a bit still they like to steal off into the jungle to dance the night away.

This “paper silk” offered to you
Is a shear and rich fuchsia and teal hue
Named ‘The oldest of all, but in a new dress’ given the blessings of his divine grace.
Mahaprabhu’s kirta has a peacock lifted from a backdrop of years ago.
That’s the oldest of this show
While the teal and fuchsia provide the new dress
They combine on the Gaura Purnima
All for the service of his divine grace
And Bhakta Blade looked on from the eye of the peacock.
Petal and a few full flowers made the garlands an interesting mix as the flow along the tribunga.
Off to the sunny side of the snob hill through ‘the village’ from the wharf all along the opal cliff. To the giant market and the gecko rounding shopper’s corner through the ‘people’s park’ and off to the redone road between the lakes to the point and next the hook. Sprinting from there back to witness the vaikalika offering.
The fall evenings are getting just a little cool so this evening the miracle mom is just enough to get them through the night enjoying like anything.

Wednesday the 12th
If red turns out to be pink, what am I to think?
If the seamstress says that I’m colorblind I don’t mind!
If all the artists changed all their palates I don’t care!
Cause I’ve got my eyes to tell me and I don’t need to listen to them
Seamstresses and artists set up on the street waving their college degrees at me. They want to teach me that my idea is off the wall but I’m going to keep my vision high.
Ever since I was a young boy I’ve pedaled along my way. From the asrama to saint Joseph’s I’ve pedaled through them all. From east cliff to the gecko and by the Cruiser King the hog farm and jazzercise then to the harbor and between the lakes. The windmill is next then the sunny cove. The wharf road and back to the asrama in the nick of time.
The lotus nails this evening. Nrsinghadeva ripped the wasp in two and then washed his hands and took rest. Tonight they dance away in that dress.

"Watch me pull a new outfit out of my hat"the seamstress told me one Radhastami, "Again?" i asked. So the name of this dress is 'nothing up my sleeve' since she made Giridhari and Mahaprabhu vests and Gandharvika a new choli and veil. "I've not seen this outfit" Bhakta Blade told me, "That's because they only wear it in the summer on lazy Saturday afternoons" Gladiola garlands "Very fragile" the maker told me.
It's a real nowhere ride going nowhere fast. i don't know how long i can last sooner or later i'll bust out of the barn.
The lions club met this evening. Most of the folks went to vigil for peace but Bhakta Blade and i stayed to help the Deities into their night dress and invite them to enjoy their pastimes all night long.

Monday, September 10, 2007

Let me sing about the bumble bees on the Deities dress when the dark moon's over head. Yellow and black was how it begun and soon the bumble bees were added to Gandharvika's veil just for fun. The flowers from the Tulasi tree combine in a fat garland around Giridhari's flute and Mahaprabhu's dhoti floats up in the front while his ankle bells jingle as he dances in the harinama.
It might be possible to keep me from pedaling on the street but the good ol' nowhere bike comes to the rescue to take me through the deep green ripples in the recesses of my mind laughing as i'm passing through the fields i used to roam in the days of my misspent youth. The corn grew knee high by the fourth of July and in August it had become high as an elephant's eye. Before the sunrise i'd cross through them with the daily news in my bag to be tossed onto the porches of the still sleeping people. Mukunda, Madhava, Yadhava and Hari were waiting for me to join the parikrama....
It's a world of names, names for everything why not the Deities clothes too? They call East Bengal the Radhadesa, i call this night dress Baby blue

The aruna har posse rides again with crystals that break the light in colors to be seen with eyes you've not used yet. Pink so hot it burns mundane vision paired with iridescent green just soft enough to cool your vision to be able to view the beautiful forms of Mahaprabhu, Gandharvika and Giridhari. Simultaneously so hot you can't stand it and so sweet you can't resist it. vanamali, one who collects forest flowers to make garlands, also appears to be in town today.
from the asrama to the gecko around the school to the cruiser king back to the harbor and the redone road. Then between the lakes to the windmill. Sufferers everywhere and pedalers too some with suffering boards hooked on their chairiots. All along the wharf road and to the asrama once again.
The touch that kills this evening with the silk as smooth as milk they enjoy their pastimes all night long.

Orange and creamy beige offered on Radha's appearance day and now it seems such a long time away. It was in the late summer of nine years past while SGM was here to celebrate during his stay. Singing songs and quoting the slokas, how she had come down from Goloka. All were stunned to hear the transcendental sound wanting to catch was was coming down.
Speeding past the gecko, the Italian restaurant there's a hotel on the rise. i went on down to the market where the devotees go. i hadn't noticed but it was time for them to close and one asked if i'd take a cookie, all our friends had been by. One told me how it the temple in Saint Petersburg is on the beach and life is good. Just then an agent came along and reminded me to get along for the time for the sandhya was coming up fast. i dashed along the waterfront up the hoot hill where the hogfarm was just a blur. The whaler had always seemed so clear before but now just a sound as i pedaled by. The lights were on my side, yes they were, and brought me back to the asrama just in the nick of time.
The most blessed event is the night dress tonight. They dance away in memory of the appearance of their most intimate servitor who cast his net upon the western shore delivering us the treasure of Mahaprabhu's sankirtan. Thus they go on until the morning

Giridhari appears on this and future Fridays swirling to the sound of his flute contemplating the lotus feet of Gandharvika. The purple and pink halos that rise from the divine dance that holds even the lord of the universe in trance. The garlands shed petals and spread on all who observe this most internal play. When folks here me speaking like this they all shout the name of this one "Shut up kid"
Who would want a Ferrari, Lomborgini or a 'Vette if he had a carbon fiber trek in his stable? Who would choose to spend money on 'petrol' (ha ha) if he could pedal just like Lance? All along the east cliff to the harbor and on past the theater to the gecko's wheel rounding the turn to where the bus drops the tiny tinies off at school. The cruiser king waits on the left and then there comes Mr. Charlie, who uses organic produce. The redone road takes me between the lakes and the windmill. Down with the sunny cove on the right then up to the opal cliff and the wharf road. From there it's time for the vaikalika service.
In the evening they put on their white Chinese silk with little branches and green silk given by one of the folks and dance away into the jungle for a night of loving pastimes.

“Are they wearing pink today?” the garland maker asked “No” I replied. “Pink and green?” “No” “Purple and green?” “No” “What are they wearing?” “A multiplicity of colors. If that's not a word I just made right here on the spot”
Folks will tell you that the Deities came from Navadvipa out of the jungle there where birds sing a variety of songs not known here in the west they're enchanting and steal your mind from the mundane vibration. Here in the woods the Deities wear brightly colored clothes on the Ekadasi day. The garlands are of roses and leaves in a simply elegant way. Even though I don't see them as pink the seamstress would. Interestingly in new vyau puri, many years ago, on this eleventh day Kisora and Kisori wore this color and the name game called it dark pink.
Through the village and around the cement boat where the tourists are fewer now back around the park that sounds like Namasaranya but isn't then past the mansion of the Doctor. Along the peaks and valleys of the road past the post office and the light house center then the wharf road to the opal cliff. Tracing along beach road and then to the highway bridge back past the hospital and the flower place again then to the asrama road for sandhya time
In his orange dhoti and kirta with purple cumberbund and chodder he looks like a swami gone to town. He and his friends go off into the woods for their late night merry making to be back for the waking.

The smooth dancing actor only put on one performance last night so by popular demand he was held over for a full day. Family from China had picked out the cloth for his dress. The yellow with embroidery and the purple are rich colors and they knew that this was the pick of the lot suitable for Natha raja himself. Bhakta Blade had wanted to assist in the dressing but he'd grown a moustache for the play he was in and couldn't participate until he'd shaved.
All along the sunny cove the joggers kept a look out as all the sufferers came and went in their barefoot wet suits. Off around the point a fog horn was sounding as the peddlers were approaching and the head wind began to cry a forgotten name. Next around the gecko there was a unique rig, took a couple of steps to get to the saddle but could go through any puddle. At the toad's i saw a familiar face and exclaimed "We meet again i see" and then went on by past the soccer pitch around the lover's lane and taking the wharf road, sprinted back for the sandhya
O deer dough, have you seen Krsna? The highest devotees inquired from the forest animals as they tried to track him down. He had disappeared from their midst off into the moonlit night to engage happily in his pastimes with his dear most followers

Janmastami day and they wear Radha's own in the morning. An old outfit yes it's true but a new peacock feather for Giridhari. The hars were worn with this dress for only the second time but even the seamstress thought that they were new to this one.
Then at the midnight arati the smooth dancing actor appeared for the first time. Taking the crowns and backdrop from Saint Patrick and adding the mirrors the deep purple provided a good contrast to the yellow and lighter shade in this dress. One of our folks made flower earrings to everyone's surprise. Then one of the other folks brought a necklace and broach, Giridhari took the necklace and Gandharvika happily had the broach. The butteracarya brought necklaces all around even for the small faces. A wonderful festival for all.
i went off by the gecko and then around to the school for independance. As i went by the theater some mountaineers nearly ran me over but i was able to weave in and around them. The opal cliff had sufferers and joggers by the score. A couple looked as if i were a racer but .... Next was the radio station where the ducks are allowed to cross, a sign with ducks on it warns travelers to yield. Coming down the hill at the wailers i stayed to the right and continued between the lakes. Along by the windmill, i noticed it was getting late and thus sprinted back for the sandhya and then the midnight show.
Since the smooth dancing actor appeared for such a short time, he'll hang around for the night and they'll let the party carry on
