Today the epicenter is found here. Guru-Gauranga-Gandharvika-Giridhari are in their Superstar dress. It if from Gaura purnima a few years ago. Mahaprabhu's kirta reminds some of the folks of the armor the knights in bygone ages wore. Giridhari's reverse pleats in his jacket are a little too big but still work all right. Gandharvika has a belt from an outfit retired a few years ago but it goes well with this dress. Coming today you'll reach the whole nation, connected to all the forms of mass communication. Giridhari has a toe tickler in his garland today and Gandharvika has one that tickles her knees.
Morning pedaling today from the asrama to the hospital curve then over the Saint Dagwood. Going on past the tennis park between the lakes and the sunny cove. Following the road around to the left the windmill and seasonal costume shop appear. After the vaikalika offering it's down to the snob hill and the village, wharf and opal cliffs. Up and around the place of the wearewolves and then back around the light and in the shelter of the new pedaler's lane back to the sandhya service.
This evening the Deiites played a trick on me by arranging that i bring out a lion on the chase which is usually a Thursday night dress instead of Thursday morning. Sometimes Krsna likes to play a little

TUESDAY OCTOBER 30
Five point six that's what it was. "The Deities weren't moving or anything?"
the kernel of divine love asked "Well, their crowns did fall into their faces" i replied. "Does that mean they were dancing around?" "Yeah, they were really rocking and rolling" Giridhari's breathing was quick and Mahaprabhu's sequins shook. The garland Gandharvika held was swaying with each shake of the simasana. Nila walla nila!
Racing with the sunset this afternoon, there are still a few pedalers left out on the road but it's getting harder to describe drivers to the non motorized. The bright hallogens area blinding as the sun so all the pedalers still in their rhinestone shades or even cheap sunglasses. Some have their torches attached to their head gear and others tape them around the handalbar others just brave the dark by their cat like vision or maybe they're just like bats and navigating by their sonar radar. i straddle the two for this evening and sprint back up the long and winding so as to finish under the tag of the prince of darkness.
"This veil doesn't obey me" Bhakta Blade declared. "When I put the belt on it goes wonk!" So he tries again "Well tonight it didn't do that" Pralad-a-dad cooperated! And after the all the excitement of the evening the Deities happily enjoyed their pastimes.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 29
The devotees went to the Vrndavana murti shop to get the outfit made they decided they would make it in their favorite colors a little teal, cream and red. The tailor spoke just enough English to say one line to them and that was this “ You don’t always want what you get” It came to the Janmastami midnight the curtain was about to open the swami was there to lead the kirtan I knew the devotees would like the outfit, I could tell by the way it was put on. The thought that went through my mind became this dress’ name, “you don’t always want what you get, yes you know it you can’t have it your way” I went into the kitchen to get the Deities garlands in spite of the doors being labeled “freezer” that’s where the maker put them. You don’t always want what you get. And in the words of the savior of Galilee many are cold but few are frozen. These were of the few.
Today I pedaled back in time. Back to three rainy days in an August so many decades ago and by the time I got to that famous farm there were half a million strong. They all were sharing their message to love under a gypsy sun that revealed a rainbow Soon my imagination was taking over, I’d pedaled for some time, I began to see teenagers pedaling as if it were 1969. Tee shirts and jeans, no lycra here, locks flowing in the breeze created by their furious pace, also no helmet laws. The leader looked like someone I knew once upon a time. Then the spell I was under broke as I opened up my eyes it was time for the sandhya and I got back to the asrama just in time.
The rain seems to have gone and the stars are out the Deities are wearing baby blue this evening and dancing the night away in anticipaton.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28
Even though it's the time of the demons and hobgoblins Srila Guru Maharaja has appeared to pull us away from the lower influence and take us to the light. This dress offered for Guru maharaja's appearance day follow the angels. Green with yellow accents for Mahaprabhu and Gandharvika. While Giridhari is the reverse. The seamstress planed and placed each and every stitch to be just right in this outfit with the colors all so rich.
From the door of the seva asrama to the bhajan kutir of Bhakta Blade. i saw pedalers in clubs in matching gear to joggers walking their dogs and sufferers pedaling with their boards attached to their rides. There was a mountain man completely tricked out on the redone road. There was the man with his young children in a trailer and one with an older kid pedaling beside there at the gecko who is always happy to see pedalers of all ages. Over the railroad bridge next to the skater's park a couple of pedalers want to quietly challenge me but as i went up the hill to the bridge they went to the boardwalk. Then to replace them a couple of more came up from the boardwalk. While they went along to the steamer's alley i made the right to Bhakta Blade's. Passing the kutir and around the block i was back on the road to go down the bridge hill. One of the young folks drove by in the opposite direction talking on their cell phone. Then i went by the gecko for the second time. He was just putting everything in order to close up. Down around again to the sweet road. From there a couple of parking lots and then around the south side to complete the trip and back to the asrama. There the kernel of divine love was meeting and waring with the houseflies with a heavy attitude. "I've never seen flies like these!"
In the ninth this evening. The chill is there but still not enough for chodders. and as the angels came pouring out the year today's day dress was offered so this evening folks in red stockings were running wild. And in the meantime Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika-Giridhari danced the night away.

Flowers embroidered on golden petals. Must be the second most labor intensive dress. Offered on Radhastami in nineteen ninety eight the cloth was donated by some of the folks, very soft and opulent silk. The garlands, as usual, blend in with the dress. And Giridhari is watching it all from the eye of the peacock.
off over the paved road all the way to the shopper's corner. The traficasorious forced me to the shopper's corner and the school. The king was off at the beach in carpet. After the reviewing stand, the gecko said howdy bol. Around the twin lakes there were a fleet of sail boats on the water theourthe east cliff and the village takikng the snob hill from behind this day and then up the long road to the asrama for the afternoon tea.
The most blessed event tonight. The cool of the evening is saying isn't the time for chodders? But not quite yet. The dancing keeps them warm enough for now.

Iiiiit's Kartik! The month of Radharani. The true value of a silk turban, millions of opulences are of no use, only the merciful glance of Guru-Gauranga-Gandharvika-Giridhari in their copper, blue seed beads, white coat and blue dhoti is all in all. The rose and mum garlands sway as their earrings shake while the maker inspired the extra kirtan for the month.
Meanwhile the run to mahamuni's post box then up snob hill to the soccer pitch and the wharf road and the long and winding path back for the vaikalika offering. Then around the flower shop turn on past the shelter to the twin lakes, up to the sunny cove and the opal and east cliffs with a bit of a chill in the air the sufferers have stayed where ever else they suffer. Back through the main drag for the sandhya.
What a night for a dance under the full moon, deep within the far off jungle. The full moon of the saradiya season.

A Radhastami offering. Giridhari teaches the worship of he himself through his finest and topmost worshiper, that is Srimati Gandharvika. SP taught us that not only cleanliness but puncuality were in the most important things in the worship of the Deities so when one of the young folks who was helping me along on the day of offering this dress pointed out the bells on Gandharvika's skirt i knew the name had to reflect an important principal of worship what else but "She be there with bells on". Garlands of white roses and some mums from the trader. Garlands of rose, so many come in the flow all the way to each of their toes.
Round the snob hill and the village, the opal cliff and the point of the hook to the west coast way of life back in a flash to the vaikalika bash. Then over the finished paving, the midas touch and taking the corner at the flower hut on seventh avenue. i do declare in the grasp of time i took the left turn there and hauled it onto the redone road. Following that to the railroad over Saint Dagwood's river on to the house to see the star rising. Then back around the skater's arena. They still high five down on broadway when the copper fades away. The harbor is coming up on the right along the tennis park to the bear and the trader once again. The sandhya is on the clock so i spur on the om carana renu to the long and widning trail that leads the seva asrama door.
A chill in the night air so the Deites are staying in this evening. The swriling dancing that you feel.

Though the dhotis are made backward and Gandharvika's sari is dui angali too shor won't you please come to Vrndavan and see the monkeys there. She can fix the clothes they've got to be ready to be offered in a land where all wear dhotis how can such a thing exist won't you please come to Vrndavan to laugh right in the tailor's face She can change the clothes they've got to be ready to be offered. From the tailor's shop in India to the altar by the sea won't you please come to Vrndavan to how it's going to be. She can fix the clothes, they've got to be ready to be offered. On Nrsinghacatur dasi when the curtain opens up you'll be glad you came to Vrndavan and know no one else could take your place. She fixed the clothes, rearranged the clothes and they were ready to be offered.
Pedaling to the left to avoid as much of the construction as the law allows. Here there's a plot to have the roads as torn up as possible. Mahamuni's post box is the first stop today. Then the snob hill to the village and the wharf. The opal cliff is waiting for me and then a rare journey from the hook to the beach. all along the way there aren't many people just some walking dogs or pedaling. Some are looking to suffer. Standing and talking about some useless information. A pedaler goes by with so many feathers on his helmet he looks like a chief. He smiles and says he's 'flies with the wind'. Returning for the madyakalia service i see that there is paving in progress. hmmm so fast. Then down the long and winding road but still leaning to the left i see more ebikers today. They also look on in amazement as i pedal by them with out effort. The east cliff takes me down to the radio station and then the harbor the gecko is happy to see me and says it's getting to be time for the vaikalika. i realize he's right and i turn my face toward the asrama. The convelesent center is on the left and the astanga yoga institute is at the light. Left there and on to the redone road. Right where it joins with the road that takes me between the lakes. The windmill is there along leading on to the lumber yard. The soccer pitch is on the left and the wharf road takes me back for the sandhya.
They wear the lotus nails tonight. A quick and simple one. Giridhari has a long coat with a chodder big enough to keep him flying higher and higher and according to his devotees ability to fly in the sky they can keep up with him and one enter into their constitutional position

First there is a mango then there is no mango then there is.
In the beginning Gandharvika and Giridhari are combine as one Mahaprabhu dressed in mango color dhoti and kirta
Then they separate for past times and Gandharvika dresses in after Midnight blue
While Giridhari goes for the color of electric bananas, they call it mellow yellow
Then there is no mango
Then seeing Gandharvika dressed in midnight blue it causes Giridhari some thought and desire to find out just what her ecstatic mood is all about. He covers himself with her golden luster and emotion
Then there is.
Gandharivka’s beautiful blue dress, Sue ‘nila vasana
As I come to the end of the long and winding road from the asrama the next road has been roughed up for repaving. The roughness sends me to the sidewalk at least to the parking lot of the invisible convenience store and the hospital. Passing through there the velvet trail way returns speeding down the bridge over the troubled freeway with king Midas on the left side. The trafficasorous forces me once again to pass the whaler’s, the post office and the people’s park. But the gecko gives me shelter from the autostorm. I go on around the man in the photo shop. Then comes the island where the breath of life grows. I pass a flock of e-bikes as we go up a hill and they look on in disbelief. Circling around I go back on into the forest of the downtown where the baboons jump. Easing up the hill to the railroad bridge and going to the right I come to the bhajan kutir of Bhakta Blade. He must be out taking the name some other where so I continue in a peleton of recumbent peddlers. Breaking formation at the swift corner I take a lap around the garden without a home. Retracing my tracks I approach the spinner’s church and go back around the park of water treatment. Passing the dream inn I view the skaters doing fruit-de-loops and laughing as they’re high fiving in mid air. A mountaineer is ahead me grooving down slowly but it’s too narrow to overtake so I wait until the legendary vacant lot where I go on by. At the light a fixed gear head stands in his toe clips and awaits the changing. His colored spokes gleam as he flies down the road. I come behind to go past the shopper’s corner and cruiser king the dog wash and Saint Dagwood’s river. The bear is fast asleep but the trader is waiting for me. I come along and for the first time of the year I light up the night all the way back to the asrama.
Ah, yes, this evening Riding on a horse of a different color, Vamsi dasa Babaji enters marakata mani puri talking like a pirate. Bhakta Blade reminds me that one of our brownie lovers was also wearing an eye patch the last time we saw him. He asked us to excuse his pirate appearance so perhaps he would also enter marakata mani puri. When he put Giridhari's coat on him the swirl was so fast that Giridhari looked a lot like he was flying out of habit. They were burning the late night ghee tonight, dancing the night away.

On this day of Sri Hari, Ekadasi, Mahaprabhu began to dance. The sound of the kitan mixed with the the sound of Mahaprabhu's ankle bells and purified the atmosphere all around. Mahaprabhu with fushcia kirta and blue dhoti. Giridhari with gold dhoti, purple kirta and chodder with orange sash and yellow flowers. Gandharvika in orange and her molten gold complexion, she's the queen of Vrndavan in days of old.
Off again to the hospital turn albeit late in the game. Passing the Midas touch and the pottery world and what time is the arteak? Over the river and past the school to feed the bear. The sun is chasing me through the fruit market and the opal cliffs. At the Point i could see that the sun was going to win this round so i sprinted up the main road. The flashy mall, video store and the car wash. Crossing the bridge over the troubled freeway down and through the light at the big grocery. One car guy who found his license in a box of candy coated popcorn and since it's the Ekadasi day it spoke volumes. Down the long and winding road there are a few deer talking about the boy on the small horse with round legs. Dropping off at the asrama and sprinting through the wood where the hunt went through. i tagged along listening to the dogs ahead nearing the prize. Deep in my mind the Deities appeared saying come back We're hungry and want you to offer to us. Such good fortune could not but call me back.
They call east bengal the radha desa, call it baby blue. Guru Gauranga Gandaharvika Giridhari write it down in blue in white They're going enjoy their pastimes tonight.

SUNDAY,OCTOBER 21
As I’m looking out through the seva asrama
And my stomach squeals just a little more
A ricksaw full of foot dust and peacock feathers pulls up at the jal mandir’s gate
A mysterious lady in jari handled manatika, pierced through the Walla’s patka, smiles in my face parama anna possessed words quote “haven’t I seen you somewhere in Soquel or was it just an apparition?
And before I could ask “was it on the hook or the opal cliff?” my bike it screamed out in pain and the wheels of a recumbent dug deep ah but not as deep in my brain as the stick subji
As the parikrama went on I could see her words float along and collapse on my muddy sleeping bag so I picked them up then dusted them off and, Prabhu, you won’t believe what they said
“Use this silk and these feathers to make Guru Gauranga giridhari Gandharvika an outfit along with a belt in the center with peacock crowns
And you know it’s hard when bhakta abasa is your altar ego and you act as if you were he.
As I got the to hospital turn my father’s magic carpets made of unobtainium just wouldn’t let me. So going on forward but never straight I came upon the post office and ducked around there. The gecko waited with his stopwatch out and I rounded Saffron and Genevieve’s corner to the school and the cruiser king’s reviewing stand. Following the one-way direction and sprinting around the hospital turn from the opposite side I cross over saint Dagwood’s river. Keeping the tennis court on my left I meander between the lakes coming up to the windmill going down where fuzz like to jive then around bend where the mole’s hole is. Back along the trail of the over the hill gang to the point and then to the sugmeister general’s road passing the basketball park. Further along is the toad I say hey and see the recumbent team heading from right to left and salute as they go by. Crossing their street and back to the redone road to the theater. As I pass the gecko cries out “and down the stretch you come” circumambulating the dog wash and crossing the bridge once again another school is being built just before the bear’s house. Passing the fruit market and the soccer pitch I come to the wharf road and then the long and winding road back for the vaikalika and sandhya services.
The evening has that chill of autumn and the Chinese silk, the touch that kills they enjoy their pastimes with the ankle bells jingling throughout the night.

One of the folks says to me "This outfit's name? I think I know, don't tell the seamstress though" "But she won't hear us talking here, it's Havirbhu, it must be so" i give my pointed head a shake to confirm the name is no mistake. The chiffon chodderss with jari aplique, look so right when the float that way. A touch of orange and avacado on the rich beige silk, safe to say it's smooth as milk.
The wind at my back down the asrama road and i start off quickly to the former fancy flowers turn. Rounding the bend to the tennis park, public radio and pack of families pedaling together. Seasonal costumes are for rent along the way then there's the bank. The gecko says there's still time and i sprint down around the Saturday market in Saint Dagwood's park. i turn back to return and there's a pedaler with a garland. "Where did you get that?" i ask "From the deity of the sufferer. They changed his dress to a winter one today since the fresh wind blows along the lighthouse path. From the point to the hook and then the wharf road. There's someone with a torch taped to their helmet. Going past me a car guy leans out and places his finger in the air "Faster! God's waiting!" He exclaims. i pedal harder and as i pull up the drive some one greets me with "You can't shower cause the water is off." hrumph.
The most blessed event is the night dress on this breezy night. The stars are out to witness their dancing and playing in the woods.

Inside I'm he and outside I'm she and we've combine together. The Jagannatha cart taller than Lord Nelson's Tower and all the devotees singing Hare Krsna with hands extended to touch Gurudeva's lotus toes. Dressing Mahaprabhu and Radha Krsna waiting for the garlands to come and when they don't come then put them on at the vaikalika bhoga.
A race against the kala rupa. To the hospital turn over the river and to the redone road. The hog farm is there on the left and the gecko is being the chief cheerleader. i sprint by the bus with a couple of pedalers loading up their pedals on the front. Saint Dagwood's park under the bridge and then left past the dog's house. Up the railroad once again where a couple of cruisers are headed for the steamer's alley. i go right past a trailer park down to the circle road and the humble bhajan kutir of Bhakta Blade. i hear him call out "Hey Murka" but there's no time for a conversation if i'm to slide under the tag of the sandhya. On along to the natural bridge. Going beyond that is the homeless garden and turning back. A car makes the same manuver. Back to sprinting along the spinner's church road. Along and along i go and the railroad is empty today. Through down town passing the royal taj then the gecko is still leading the charge to get me back for the sandhya on time. At the next light i pull up behing one of the leading young folks. On his cell phone he doesn't see. Still as the light changes he not really sure if i'm a butler of the Lord. Then it's straight up the road to the farm fresh produce. Across the bridge over the dug up highway i see my friend sailing on ahead. Without knowing it he gets back minutes ahead of me who stays down for the sandhya.
On the breezy night with a sprinkle in the air the lion goes back deep within the far off jungle and take their rest tonight.

Deep within the forests of old Blighty are the Jacks in the green. These gnomes are given the job to look after all the green creatures during the long winter months. They make sure the snowflakes keep them warm and safe from Mr. Frost and such and in the spring call them all to the front again. They wear the cloak of forest green much the shade of this dress of Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari. Among seasons I am flower bearing spring as he swirls around playing his flute for all to align themselves .
The long and winding road from the asrama took me to the post box of Mahamuni and beyond up the snobby hill and down into the village past the wharf and echoes from the woods. The opal cliff took me along to the sunny cove and the windmill. The recumbent pedalers saluted as i passed the public radio and went on to the redone road up to the theater the gecko was happy to see me out after the rain drops had gone away and i arrived past the monkey's place just in time to see the morning star rise. Stopping for an hour or so to talk and dream on i headed back past the skater's park and the old railroad track. The was another cruiser with streamers from it's bars as i climbed the hill to the shopper's corner and keeping the school on my right side went down to the people's park. The dog wash was full and i went to the harbor where the boats were back on the bay between the lakes i knew that i had to sprint around the hook to the point and down the wharf road to return to the long and winding road and the asrama to see the pilgrims off to the land past an imaginary red line somewhere.
This evening i saw Vraja kissing Santa Claus while Mahaprabhu was in his dhoti so white. i should have been fast asleep down the stairs i had sneaked.

"Bhakta Blade!!!! You've got Gandharvika's sari on her inside out!" "Shut up Murka" Yeah it's those kind of exchanges that give this outfit it's name. As usual Giridhari has both peacock feathers dipped below his left eye and his turban is that very red pink. And it's clearly pink in the vision of the seamstress no matter what i may think. With the usual garland maker down in Mexico a lefty stepped in today and kept that section in the creativity spot light.
Well in the morning it was over the cobble stones and back. Those who i met along the way told me things like "pick up the pace then" Or pedaling in the overcast again huh?" Then the sun shows himself full and brightly and on down to the post box of Mahamuni then the snob hill, the village, wharf and opal cliff. Not many pedalers out today but those i see are of the hardest core variety. No fenders or umbrellas on their helmets just the gloves and maybe a poncho or light rain coat. They are out no matter what the weather and so today they were rewarded with a sliver of afternoon sunshine just big enough to get their two wheels through. The vaikalika and sandhya services are done with the young folks on hand.
O deer dough, have you seen Krsna? Here on this calm night that also seems to threaten rain the Deities are thinking to stay under the roof this evening and not wander out into the groves of the seva asrama.

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

We went down to Parmatala to get some cloth for an outfit. We decided to get a sari, royal blue, a favorite, Radha's own. The tradition speaks for itself. Next it was time for the arati and the devotees went in to be seen, Mahaprahbu in mango and Giridhari in yellow, the tradition speaks for itself. "Mahaprabhu's garland isn't centered" the maker told me. "There isn't an even number of flowers" i answered back. Then the maker studied for a minute and had to agree that i was right.
Pedaling in the overcast light i figured to pedal to the same destination and so i hopped on my ride while i counted i got to seven past five. Even though the rain was nothing but water and clouds blocked out the sun i hid at one end of the rainbow and pedaled though the storm wasn't done. i spoke to friends i met along the way and all said i was hooked so i kept them in my saddle bag but made no extra drag! Even though the rain was merely water and the overcast blocked out the sun, i hid inside an ancient barn to pedal though the storm isn't done. i saw some with an umbrella growing out his helmet it let me chuckle inside. Even though the rain was nothing but water and the drops masked the sun, he had his unique way to keep pedaling even though the storm wasn't done.
Crash! Bang! Boom! Bhakta Blade had been cruising along until he knocked over a vase. He caught the vase and thought it was done but no sooner had that crossed his mind then he saw Giridhari's crown fall to the floor and Gandharvika's veil push over one of the sila's parasols from their throne. He recovered and the rest of the Pralad a dad dress went on without too much incident and Gandharvika Giridhari and Mahaprabhu go on enjoying like anything.

Yudhisthira, you're the leader of the Pandavas
you know evil Sukuni has loaded the dice
but you kept losing when you knew you ought to not bet
Well when this outfit was offered
the Deities didn't have a red one yet
Marigold garlands today straight from the advaitananda garden
A cotton baton run today got me out among the rain drops. Circling around the surf shop and the basketball park then the wharf road. The gecko told me i didn't have the sense to stay in out of the rain so after the waking i continued under a dome. Protected from the shrill cell phones and the second hand news by two short planks. i pedaled on and on along through the east cliff and the drops let up. By the time i'd rounded the bridge over the under construction highway they were again coming down. The asrama road saw a few pedalers braving the bad weather along with me and i returned for the sandhya, since the sunset was behind the rain clouds and chanted into the night.
They call east Bengal the Radhadesa, call this one baby blue. Inside the temple the Deities are happily dancing the night away, lying down only for the moment.

Sunday, October 14th
What is the name of this one? One of the folks asked today. "Well there are a couple of names. First off since all the flowers in the boarder, crowns and effulgi and in Caitanya Caritamrta Kaviraja Goswami says "if one offers a sumanas flower at the lotus feet of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu his material life will end" and since in the days of my misspent youth i was a "sumanas child" that's the name of this one. Then the back drop reminds of one that there was on thirteenth street. That was made from what was called "New York fabric" so the alternate name is "New York a go-go and everything tastes nice" The yellow must give it away as a Gaura Purnima offering, huh?
All along the old highway today the Giant kept the view while all the car guys came and went. Over the mountain where the trees keep watch. Quite a climb and then decent into the main highway. Going up there is a camp ground for adventists that is vacant most of the year and is now too. Then a farm where the folks used to by raw milk but the cows up and died and after so many years they've not been replaced. As the mountain gets steeper there are seemingly just trees on either side though there must be some houses somewhere. As a reminder that the last couple of miles are coming there's a sign that cautions that log trucks drive along the road. Then on to the summit road. The last three hills to climb. The saints of the latter days are on the right. Then the decent begins for real on the old highway things go by fast and all i've ever seen of Holy City is a glass blowing shop. Next comes a trail that goes beside but a little below the highway. Then it's into the park and to the storied lake where the folks are having a party for a newly married couple.
Back at the ranch, the ninth is the night dress and there is a light shower falling as the Deities take their evening rest and go on in their pastimes.

"I feel like a white rabbit in the town of Nadia" White Ganga-Yamnuna dress offered on for Gaura Purnima a couple of years ago. The usual garland maker started but was only able to one and one third so a relief maker had to be brought in to finish them off. Then a very special guest vase maker came in. "I think the gold vases will look best with this dress" Not only the usual size altar vases but a couple of tiny ones a band of leprechauns brought too. Add to that the clean porch the whole thing was quite a celebration.
From the asrama to the fruit market through the parking lots of the visible convenience store and hospital to the bridge over Saint Dagwood's river and between the lakes. A fleet of recumbent passed on my left going to the opposite end of the field. Some one in a stovepipe hat pedaled a cruiser king covered in what looked to be shag carpeting. Back to wake the Lord and then off for the five o'clock arteak. The Whaler was in town today he sang a song of an ancient mariner. Then came the post office which led me to the place where the gecko patrols. He said "Pardon me" i said "Mr. Gecko you look like you're ready to pedal" He said "Yes, I'm ready to fade into the soft parade, where there are still a few campak flowers left out in the yard and it's getting harder to explain disc brakes to the mountain men" "good luck!" i said and went on to the Saturday market where, i was reminded there was only enough time to get back safely before the sunset so couldn't stop to talk.
The most blessed event was the night dress with a back drop never before seen with this dress and the warm night might promise more rain before too long. Still Gandharvika Giridhari go on enjoying like anything.

"I was born at midnight" Guru Maharaja begins the auto part of his biography. This one was offered on the anniversary of that day and it has all the shades of purple legions associated with midnight. The necklaces, chokers and earrings came from different folks for that and other holidays. "When I heard that Vrndavan was for shallow thinkers" it caused in me an inquisition, I had to find out what it was all about and doing that I fell head over heals for Mahaprabhu's bheada abheada tattva
With the raindrops falling today it made it fun to pedal between them. All along the opal cliff and then point of the hook to the windmill along the harbor and the jazzersize to the theater. There's the hog farm leather jackets with cities on their backs the shopper's corner and the cruiser king is in his court. The oriental street food vendor is on hand with his organic produce. People's park is full of umbrellas today. Then it's along the redone road to the toad road and beyond to the fruit market. From there it's the wharf road and back for the sunset even though the overcast and rainy skies block the sun.
Now as lights are thinking to close their tired eyes the Deities put on their deep within the far off jungle night dress and take their rest for the day.

Today, in his gold bundi, green chodder and gold dhoti, Mahaprabhu turned to watch as Giridhari in his peacock feather coat and yellow pants dance with Gandharvika in her pink sari, green choli and peacock feathers in the points of sequins on the lower part of her skirt. "These spray roses are just so opulent! I just had to use them for the garlands today!" the maker exclaimed. She was so happy to make them. "They're going to be so beautiful!" and she was right.
First to Mahamuni's post box up the snob hill descending through the village and climbing again by the wharf. Winding along the opal cliff to the sunny cove. Sprinting past the windmill and pushing hard between the twin lakes. Still hustling through the harbor going by the railroad bridge and the boardwalk. i hear Bhakta Blade and his side kick sukala sakti call out my name. At first i can't decide who or where they are. Again they shout i wave my vamya hasta and they cheer by this time i can cast a glance over my shoulder and they wave. i tip my helmet but have to speed along to catch the star. Breathing hard i come in just on time. After viewing the stars i dash back for the sandhya. Saying "hey" to the monkey man and then over the Saint Dagwood river. Up the next hill past the wood stove place to the gecko. He's having a good day and smiles as i drift past the hog farm and head down the outpatient clinic. On to the redone road and watching the few but brave sufferers who laugh at the cool overcast. The around the hook to the soccer pitch. Leaving the pitch on my right i fly along the wharf road onto the sidewalk for the cars in the narrow parts. Making the turn to the long and winding road back to the asrama door.
The rain that's promised for tomorrow is beginning to fall so as a lion on the chase night dress goes on they decide it might be best to stay in this evening and enjoy their pastimes under the protection of the simhasna.

Can you tell? Maybe the picture is too small, but today is Nila Mani day, that is Bhakta Blade took the reigns today. i let him tell me about the veil's bees when the moon up above is dark and in that way increases the love of Giridhari's most intimate servitors for he himself. i saw it in their lotus eyes, their lotus eyes, the flute song mocked them and challenged them to claim their rightful property.
What a day for pedaling. In the pre noon hours pedaling between the raindrops. On a pedaler's ship to nowhere in a little barn. The afternoon came a smile upon the face of the sun so it was off to Mahamuni's post box. A pair of seasoned citizen pedalers pulled up astride at the snob hill light. They told me they were on their way to the east. Their feet had gotten wet as they crossed the burning sand. Through the village to the wharf and then the opal cliff in it's sulky overcast. A coed on a saddle that looked more like a couch and featured mattress springs was waiting at the light near sunny cove. "Aw come on, you can always change your name" She told me. As the light changed and we took off i led the way in between the twins up to the two friends brake shop. On the road to the theater i heard a ping. Thinking "tell me that's not a broken spoke." i looked down and saw that in fact i was right i thought "i asked you not to tell me that" Off to see the gecko and fix it up. After speaking with them for some time speaking of the strange ways the lord works. By the time i got to "the absolute truth plays a flute" the spoke was fixed and so i excused myself and took off around the shopper's corner and then straight ahead to the people's park where i was able to use the yield sign to my advantage. On the redone road i saw a Hummor 3.5, a one of a kind truck. Back to see the Gemini and then east cliff. From the cliff to the wharf and back up to the sunset service.
The night is strangely warm and in the Lotus Nails night dress they just might dance all night long.

...And two very sporting gents in blue, Giridhari and Mahaprabhu. Gandharvika is also in the same blue. The sila's outfits came from an assistant seamstress in Philadelphia. Silver birds are on the front of their skirts and so the first name that came to mind was a blue bird of happiness. But when THE seamstress suggested the red back drop THE name appeared. "When I took Giridhari's coat off him I thought it was a tearaway coat" Bhakta Blade told me. Like football years ago.
Today i thought to try to beat the clock. i went to feed the bear on the usual run through the parking lots of the invisible convenience store and hospital. To the turn over Saint Dagwood's river. Along past a school that had a summer time make-over. Then past the shopping precinct. After the feeding down to the sea again to answer the age old call. The opal cliff and the wharf. The sunny cove is on the left. A couple of mountain men pedal behind. The arrow shows itself and we all take off on the chase to the public radio and the redone road. Then to the theater. On to catch the gecko locking his door and heading for home. Around past the dog wash and the astanga yoga institute. To the harbor and the mountain men go in the opposite direction. A college student goes is ahead with his books straped to the rack. He takes in the sights of the harbor and the beach volley ball. i continue on to the east cliff and notice it's time to answer another call, the call of the sunk to the sunset service.
Bhakta Blade says this is the first time I've seen the new night dress. Riding on a horse of a different color Vamsi das babaji enters Marakata Mani Puri talking like a pirate. There just enough cloud cover this evening to hold in the warmth and invite Mahaprabhu and Gandharvika and Giridhari to take their dance out into the forest.

i had a dream last night
transcendental dream it was
not be forgotten because
all the devotees were dancing together
floating on the sight of Giridhari's amazing technicolor chodder.
Why won't the pictures post and show the dream?
it must be there just too much and can't be seen
Off to the doc across from the once upon a Gauranga's
past the gecko who wishes me luck on past the shopper's corner and down the hoot's hill. Returning past the model train store and the school. Going past the gecko to thank him for his good will. Along for the vaikalika service. Next to the east cliff past the point and the hook to the fruit market. Passing the soccer pitch and keeping it on my right i take the usual wharf road for the evening kirtan.
The night is a little warmer so the cool baby blue is the dress they wear tonight. Offering them kesar khir to take while they dance and perform their pastimes all night long.

SGM asked for this white dress for his appearance day a couple of years ago. Giridhari plays his flute and calls the devotees on and on across the universe. Heavy roses make the garlands today. Picked from a municipal garden some where far away to complement the white and gold.
Off to the hospital turn to the tennis park then between the lakes and the windmill. A costume shop that opens each year at this time is in business once again. Then around the east cliff to the wharf road. From there to the toad road on to the harbor. The gecko is there to cheer me on to the bhajana kutir of Bhakta Blade. Then the natural bridges where the sea lions go back around the steamer's alley to the railroad bridge. Off to the side the skate boarders are in their own park made of jumps and ramps that send them flying through the air with the greatest of class but if they miss the ramp they fall on their. Hanuman's place is next and up to Saint Dagwood's river over the river and to the basketball park and then the fruit market my watch shouts that the time for the sandhya is upon me.
And when the Deities wear the Chinese silk, that's the touch that kills. The night is cool and they may stay in again tonight.

So many fantastic colors, all with an effect on the mind such a marvelous feeling and the rainbow ends in prema. Ekadasi comes along with that chance of increased devotion, looking like such a hard thing, but the rainbow ends in prema.
A fancy ramble to the market. First to the shop of fragrance, a place that drives all mad, for the gulabjal. Then along the toad road where one of the young folks pulls up in his magic carpet made of steel and slows way down. Then he goes on but i draw level at the go light. There he calls out "sweet set of pedals!" "Ah, but nothing like yours!" i reply then we noticed that the light had changed. A few people turned away, nobody was really sure that we were pedaling for the lord. On to the harbor and then the gecko he was happy to see me on this Saturday afternoon. Next the market downtown. One of the folks there sang to me of the success of the day. In the morning the motorcycle sloka slinger told us how it isn't important to pay so much attention to doing this thing with that smile and on this day, just be sincere and all will be revealed.
The most blessed event is what they wear this evening, another chilly one that will probably see them stay inside for their evening pastimes.
