.
Wednesday at the Math, I think it was an amavasya day
Devotees cooking, making eucalyptus leis,
painting with rice flour singing Bengali songs
Wednesday at the Math Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika-Giridhari
Celebrating Guru Maharaja’s disappearance day
Wearing Madhuvrata, yellow and black honey bees
On Gandharvika’s veil,
Wednesday at the Math yes it was the amavasya day
Devotees telling stories, quoting slokas of Guru Maharaja
Thakuras brightly smiling with their rose and gerbera leis
A latecomer brings a lei of tulasi manjaris
I put in Giridhari without moving his flute
“that should be on a sports highlight reel”
Bhakta Blade says
Off to a quick one on the spacey highway where a couple of friends like tridandi big shoes are chattering about the Thakura’s outfit back for the vaikalika bhoga then to the navapatra for some khadigullas. A pack of tandems are along the wharf road and they watch as the roadies go by. The team is practicing in the hills by the cement boat. Around and around to the pitch on my left when Gecko takes leave on the main street I find the long and winding bow to the ratha-bhojana-vrksa. The kalarupa once again chases me to the sandhya where the folks have gathered for a celebration. The lights up I slide in to place behind Om paramahamsa thakura saying I’m going to have to cover my eyes. After prema dhvani he says “that was a very festive sounding prema dhvani”
O deer dough tonight. Giridhari’s jewelry hides from Bhakta Blade making him put in on after he’s thought himself finished.
They dance and dance like godly visions before taking rest.
Guru Maharaja’s disappearance anniversary was just yesterday.
Having extended his hand to take us all to a higher land
Today the Thakuras are wearing “follow the angels”
Together we’ll be able to serve
Follow the angels follow them to the spiritual sky
Leis of roses, leaves and petals by a dynamic duo
From the asrama to the southland Gecko and I sprint and look at the entrance to the highway. Around the southland over the first highway by the clank of the aluminum bat left at the curve the tennis park is on the left just before passing between the lakes the windmill is also on the left on along the street of surf shops the pitch is as the other things today on the left wharf road takes me past the navapatra a few pedalers on errands and just out for the fun of it, the best kind, the main street empties me to the long and winding where the ratha-bhojana-vrksa sees me folding my palms kalarupa takes me to the sandhya where there are no people waiting to celebrate this evening
Nrsimhacaturdasi saw this one offered four years back. Purple with some green. As the clouds roll in the thakuras are dancing and enjoying their night pastimes spreading happiness.
