see the thakuras on their simhasana
now just what color are the clothes they have on?
seamstress says it green still i see blue
it depends on which side of the screen we see
gurudeva holds the key
rose leis are so fragrant and fragile
careful or the petals might spill
the afternoon brings a chance to spin
through the jungle to the point of the hook
on Sunday especially many cyclists are out for a look
near the harbor the team's training begins
the natasala round the corner treacherous triangle
beasts and chocolate strawberries tangle
through south land to the secure path
ratha-bhojana-vrksa sees our respect and gets a laugh
now it's a cherubic fellow to greet us home
bells begin on the count of OM
in the ninth, the appearance day of Guru Maharaja
red, green deep blue collage

an early spring day
so they put on a watercolor display
blue and yellow with lotus flowers
and dragonflies
leis have fluffy rose
and overflow with pink jasmine
cycle babble and i hammer away
for a couple of hours today
it blows the cobwebs out of our brain
so we don't get hung up thinking bad things
between the lakes to natasala and saint dagwood's park
taking the trail through on a lark
bridge crosses the creek that's left of a river once there
the bed reveals trees dunes and shells swept by the air
back round the corner and cruiser king
the toad is there adding some swing
marcedo de las pulgas open now
but nothing there attracts us anyhow
respecting ratha-bhojana-vrksa as gurudeva said
to the ashram drive we are led
the kernel of divine love is the greeter
and the bells incense smells sweeter
in evening it's Hiranya Kasipu
gold and mellow yellow too
come for sunrise bells and be blessed
for starting the day it 's the best

"this is like our Saint Patrick's day"
the teacher said
he'd asked that the arati wait
calling in from his car
really it was Gaura Purnima
purple like the stoles of the Priests at Easter
leis carefully made with petals
and full roses too
backdrop making it's appearance
shows what a mellow fellow may do
in the sunny afternoon
cycle babble and i spun in tune
between the lakes natasala influenced by the full moon
round the corner cruiser king joined in
helping us concentrate all the way home
weaving through the recreationalists
ratha-bhojana-vrksa lets us go
bowing our head on with the show
kumara greets us with bells in line
later in the evening black, brown red phoenix cloth so fine
they dance, sing and enjoy all night
then sunrise bells starts the day quite right

look at Giridhari's double chodders
floating and drifting on the breezes
no other can compare
cause it's something he can wear
backdrop of sequins that form diamonds
roses red yellow purple and pink
leis complete this amrta for your eyes to drink
two chodders keep in mind along the way
U knee Q double feature is all were trying to say
under the eye of the red wing black birds
the point of the hook and between the lakes
chasing down messengers for goodness sake
spinning round with cruiser king
thru treacherous triangle hearing whalers sing
ratha-bhojana-vrksa seems to grin
as we fold our palms again
trusty vijaya welcomes us in
just when the bells begin
in the evening purple and green
silver trim and backdrop for so long not seen
the moon is going to be full tonight
silver and gold with rose leis after their morning bath
their darsana keeps the devotees on the path
cycle babble and i are out to explore in the afternoon
other way up the gulch is steep
still going down switchbacks are deep
time trailing going on
look out! crossing the street that's a fawn
through a park that has a hill called "top of the world"
the mountain men have their flag unfurled
round the corner with cruiser king
thru treacherous triangle seeing strawberries with chocolate clinging
up the beach hill with campa hatti from franc's
over first highway there's a guy on something that looks quiet like a tank
coming from the south land
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles on our merry band
the kernel of divine love welcomes us home
bells goes on while chanting Om
nightdress of purple and green
a lion on the chase makes a wonderful scene

today traditional colors all around
mango for Mahaprabhu Giridhari in yellow Gandharvika a blue Mahamuni found
dreamy combination still remember that Radhastami
when the curtain opened and the devotees tried so hard to see
leis of petals rolled and folded mixed with whole roses
do they really become more beautiful on their bodies
noon sun beckoning
cycle babble and i follow the recreational cyclists to the cove
seeing the sufferers there
between the lakes where the gulls fly
to the natasala by and by
basking in the sunshine
through saint dagwood's park round the bout
circling the church people inside shout
cycle babble and i go on to the abhavana mauli
over the railroad tracks to the wilder trail
seems we've got the toad by the tail
round the corner where the cruiser king sits in review
three of us pass on cue
through the treacherous triangle and chocolate strawberry sale
hearing the whaler's detail
as we passed by marcedo de las pulgas
we bow and ratha-bhojana-vkrsa smiles
the ashram is only a couple more miles
bhakta blade welcomes us back
and special bells are on track
in the evening this are quiet
and knowledge of the midnight sun
Tuesday, April 23, 2013
curtain opens showing the charm of their gentle smile
inviting all alway from the mundane
outfits show the seamstress' individual style
a mixture of east and west
seed bead peacock feathers
red with blue and green trim in peacock shades
rose leis are full and bouncy red, pink and white
afternoon cycle babble and i are out
Mahamuni's post and lion's park
along the point of the hook between the lakes
folks out escaping the heat
cooler air as fog rolls in
faces break into grins
cyclists out for to play in the sun
pedaling hard and having the maximum amount of fun
over the first highway through the parking lot
round the south land a team flashes by boy is their pace line taught
ratha-bhojana-vrksa offers shade in response to the bow of the god brothers
vijaya is there greeting us under cover
bells begin sunset is nigh on
the evening brings dark blue and yellow of the laughing lion

what do you think of the stripes and trims in this new outfit
isn't Mahaprabhu's cape the cape by which all other capes should be judged
feeling how the pleats just keep on rolling
reflecting and manifesting divine love in our eyes
what will the devotees say about the parasol effulgence above this outfit for Gaura Purnima
won't they break into peals of laughter
seeing Mahaprabhu's magnificent cape
can the maker show us how to make such 3derful leis
waking up to beauty over power
one of Guru Maharaja's deepest sutras
spin sprint hammer will take us many places
weaving in and out of the joggers and sufferers
when we catch the messengers what happens
why we follow and learn
a few tricks to get through treacherous triangle
or the chocolate strawberry outwitting the beasts with a wrangle
whalers sing each detail
over the first highway without fail
ratha-bhojana-vrksa grins
as we bow again
the kernel of divine love greets us with hands held high
bells come by and by
when it all comes together that's synchronicity
red yellow blue combine with thakuras round the mission in simplicity
this became the nightdress for the night before ekadasi
lets take a count seamstress said every color in the rainbow was her target
even the backdrop has a wide variety
another another another yeah they're all lined up
put together the roses and petals donated today
sew sew sew till they've made the leis
artistically mixed till they flow along in their dancing ways
beautifully they reach their knees
bringing light to our eyes thrilling our soul
afternoon under the hawks and red wing blackbirds
wheels keep going round in circles
keeping the rubber side on the road
trying out a new way
shake it up for some fun
over the top past the hanging tree
climbing the goat moth
laughing through the switchbacks
dusting off the nuns
through the hidden delavega park
joining the public road near saint dagwood's river
turning to the high hill
facing unafraid fortified with messenger tricks
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles once again
we bow to his grin
the mellow fellow is the first to see us
before the bells ring bringing happiness plus
red and creamy chinese silk when you touch the holy name
touching Krsna with your tongue
and for ordinary desire
that's the touch that kills

Giridhari plays his flute by the kund
meditating on Srimati Gandharvika's pada padma
and the temple in her heart
and manifests his form as Mahaprabhu from within
that hrdaya mandire
purple with pink green and yellow shapes for Mahaprabhu
Giridhari in yellow with purple chodder and cummerbund too
Gandharvika with patterns cloisine heart and sari sky blue
let them shower this divine illusion down on each of us every day
and in the middle of the day cycle babble and i are out to play
round the cement boat then the cove
between the lakes the tennis park and harbor where the boats go
in the sunny afternoon many out recreational to racers
messengers and errand runners
ratha-bhojana-vrksa gazing upon us as we fold our palms
hada madrina greets us keeping us calm
reminding us performing the bells will sanctify the land
deep within the far off jungle nightdress
white olive and red
perpetually blessed
Saturday, April 20, 2013
trace the line of truth
electronic green and purple
which way will the zig zag patterns go next?
from Mahaprabhu' s chodder thru Giridhari's jacket to Gandharvika's sari
as more and more petals arrive
do the leis cascade from your shoulders down over your chest
and wrap around your knee? fragrance filling everyones nose
cycle babble and i follow the direction of the afternoon breeze
in touch with our inner racer
hearing sufferers and sea lions singing that spring song
announcing the change of season has come
to increase the twinkle in the sufferer thakura's eye
over natural bridge to the wild trail which over looks the bay
round about to Bhakta Blade's kutir who helps us on our way
good afternoon ratha-bhojana-vrksa
send us along the jungle path
a lone racer comes along "are you going over the top?"
"well we live in this jungle and were simply going home"
"you are lucky men" he replies
vijaya is the greeter and bells begin
smelling the kesar candan incense once again
"it's a miracle mom" i explain the name
of the nightdress and just how that name came
they take their rest
come see them at the morning bells
in their purple and silvery cream and all will be blessed
Thursday, April 18, 2013
just when it seemed the Kali yuga had firmly taken over
Mahaprabhu made his advent bringing nama sankirtan
this orange and white outfit shows Gandharvika's pleasure
with Mahaprabhu's reason with her mischievous smile
you see it on the bottom of her sari
while everyone is being purified by the devotee's sweetly singing
calling them to taste the bliss of service taking the dust of their lotus feet
and looking on the full rose leis as they cascade along their dancing forms
the multilevel cyclists in their sunburst lycra jerseys
their chatter invites cycle babble and i to follow to where the foothills meet the sky
when we catch up to them they absorb us in their pace line
with that orange smile dancing in our minds
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles widely at our pranams
a lazy hawk floats on circles of air
ceremony begins it's name is sandhya and begins with the sound of the shell
in the evening the orange and green from Nrsimha caturdasi
the lotus nails which acted as a weapon
to save the devoted Pralhad
lying down for rest
come in the morning and become just as blessed

as devotees came to be seen
the thakuras were in teal and chocolate brown
most magnificent design
that some devotees spoke on a lark
among fishes Giridhari is the shark
from Bhagavad-gita
went up for a closer look to try and see the leis
daisy and roses were combine in a most clever way
and i do believe the maker knows i'd have this to say
cycle babble said to me
if we don't sprint along the street where the team awaits we'll be sorry
many recreational cyclists have come to play
and messengers who ride quick with their bag of tricks
they keep it real
on Saint dagwood's river trail circling the park
all kinds of locals exercizing trying to hit their mark
they weren't aware cycle babble and i were heading for ratha-bhojana-vrksa
we got back to see the kernel of divine chanting rounds
welcoming us back
keeping us on track
for the bells ceremony
in the ninth is the nightdress
chasing away the stress
of the long day
though the tailor's in the land
where all wear dhotis and he knows how they go
it makes you wonder if he even cares
bout making the Deity's outfits if you don't spend enough takha
have to count upon the seamstress
to straighten the whole thing out
so on Janmastami day the curtain will open and everyone will shout
today's leis are roses
tis the season when they come
though the afternoon is windy
almost blows cycle babble and i off the street
we still go to the sunny cove for the ride
on up to the first highway and cross over there
going on in the sunshine in the smell of fresh salt air
people out in jacks made to break the wind
ready for whatever nature may send
circling around we come past the whalers
sing out their detailers
on past marcedo de las pulgas
ratha-bhojana-vrksa awaits
seeing vijaya there to greet us reminds us what we have is great
in the evening they wear swarga mega
a heavenly cloud
makes everyone at sunrise bells chant right out loud
auspicious bathing, eclipse evading, wary
when the astrologer noticed the lion was in both
birth moment and in the jotish cakra
and Mahaprabhu would deliver the whole world
who knew who he was and why he had come
blue and hot pink with the most elegant rose petal leis
formed in the aussy way
puspa mukuts that show approval
and bless all who come with divine service
afternoon cycle babble and i are spinning sprinting and hammering
even though each day the route seems the same
it isn't all that lame
seeing one with antenna like a space creature
and another with the look of dinosaur
someone offered a cap to sufferer thakura
who watches over his flock by the lighthouse
round the bout to the corner round to the cruiser king
bowing for ratha-bhojana-vrksa he gives us wings
that we might meet with kumara
and start the ceremony of the bells
while the orange panel skirt is featured in the nightdress
come for sunrise bells and you'll be blessed
Saturday, April 13, 2013
jeweling all the peacock feathers is increasing fun
exponentially
sometimes it's so wonderful i must jump and shout
this must be ecstasy
leis of roses that wrap around
their bending forms
sunshine great for cycling in the afternoon
round by the university
we see the sea gull and his guest
he asks how we been and says good luck with the rest
round the south land back to fold our hands
respecting ratha-bhojana-vrksa we both ask "isn't this grand?"
it's the mellow fellow who welcomes us in
everyone is in the bells are about to begin
orange with purple with some february baby's bling
dressed for rest they go on enjoying like anything
this night's shades of purple bring something cool
someone who can take us from the mundane pool
this dress such an arrangement of purple spectrum
all our loneliness and longing be gone
with this darsana intensifying the rose leis
and this one is called in Guru Maharaja's words "I was born at midnight"
now in the afternoon we'll put a smile on our face
turn that frown upside down and all
spinning down to where the sufferer thakura stands tall
shaking off that dust
that collects in our minds and hides our true selves
as when we round the natural bridge's shelves
back round bhakta blade's kutir
cruiser king says he'll get us home from here
so we sprint past the chocolate strawberry
treacherous triangle's fairy
getting ready for bells hada madrina welcomes us home
bells begin while the priest chants "Om"
black brown and red phoenix bird
tonight's dress or at least that's the word
Thursday, April 11, 2013
devotees came to the Deity's outfit today
what a lovely outfit it is
with all of the jewelry in harmonic way
peacocks hiding behind the petals of the fluffy flower leis
surya puspa mukuts and effulgence
top it ever birghtly
leaving the ashram as the winding street comes to call
come out all the cyclists and sufferers are having a ball
cadence of the training team gets in the flow
floating along in stride smooth with backs straight and low
sea lions on their rock and sufferer thakura bouquet at his feet
wild trail circling the church round the bout almost complete
thru treacherous triangle as if on wings
while the whalers detail and sing
at the campa hatti a guy with on saddle bag and enormous pack
carrying what he has to preserve what he lacks
ratha-bhojana-vrksa says hey
as we respect and fly away
the kernel of divine love welcomes us home
bells have called us once again from where ever we rome
in the evening it's the midnight sun
Srila Guru Maharaja appeared to put maya on the run
come for sunrise bells and see how it's done
amavasya come to town
that's why the moon doesn't seem to be around
bumble bees on Gandharvika's veil
that amavasya is here without fail
there's even bumblebees on Giridhari's flute
under his direction everyone follows suit
full rose leis usual for wednesday
afternoon chance to go out and play
first to Mahamuni's post box
up skater's hill where style rocks
follow the opals to the point's hook
pass the cove just have a look
between the lakes
thru the harbor for goodness sake
round the corner and natasala
past the tennis park the toad joins one and alla
keep the pitch to the right
under first highway to the light
ratha-bhojana-vkrsa says go
and we bow as we say hello
hada madrina is chanting on his chair
as bells begin incense fills the air
green and purple dress as night comes down
at morning bells all will dance to Giridhari's silver flute sound
Tuesday, April 09, 2013
those who make the thakuras clothes
somehow seem to know
the colors and how they combine
into each dress and look so utterly fine
they also listen to even the children well
for you never can tell who will reveal the next sign
and decorate them with full and petal rose leis
and see how they swing as the thakuras sway
and in the fresh new afternoon
spin down the long and winding road to see the sufferers swoon
upon the whitecaps of a chilly day
round the about beach hill and Bhakta Blades kutir
circling the church things become clear
and the cobwebs in our brains
slowly but surly wane
allowing us to follow our dream
and return by the cruiser king's smooth as silk and safe as cream
greeted by the mellow fellow who didn't ask us why
he just joked with us and got us off to bells
our spirits follow the kirtan and swell
then in the evening the thakuras hear the lions laugh
with lemon jellow mukut and effulgence fore and aft
laying them down to rest i look at them and sigh
and pray to receive divine love for their service and servants

like the rising and setting of the sun
the seamstress is worried that Srimati Gandharvika's skirt will rise or fall
making a noise within her mouth
that makes murka pujari laugh
she demonstrates by waving her arms
leis of rose petals so 3derfully made
devotees applaud with their eyes
on the main street hitting our stride
team's captain as the guide
Mahamuni's post box is on the right
with the cement boat in sight
making the turn near the ape toss
where the trees are covered with moss
round the south land
ratha-bhojana-vrksa likes our folded hands
mi ray is waiting to say hey
bells with lamps and incense close the day
yellow and gold nightdress hiranya kasipu
come for sunrise bells and you'll know it's true
find a way to make Gandharvika's skirt longer
make it just a little stronger
connect a layer or how about a pair
extend it properly for her to wear
apsaras design the sari
fill it full of gold filigree
stars diamonds all the geometric shapes
have it ready by Janmastami date
duiangali short get it fixed in the next few days
duiangali short more full roses in the leis
all who come offer praise
over the point of the hook
between the lakes to have a look
tennis park and natasala make the corner
see the policeman's mourner
through the treacherous triangle
beats with horns in a tangle
the whalers sing about all details
ratha-bhojana-vrksa waits on the trail
bowing our heads we won't fail
kernel of divine love is the welcoming us home
bells will show we are not alone
the touch that kills
all material lets us seek a true thrill
attend sunrise bells and get your fill
Saturday, April 06, 2013
thakuras were dressed in green and black this morning
made for Guru Maharaja's vyasa puja day
they rise early and dance in their devotees hearts
cause they're attracted to the love they have
full rose leis with tulip centers
still using flowers from the Gaura Purnima
flowing nicely with their dancing movements
they aren't too short nor too long
cycle babble and i aren't such fast spinners
racers pass us by as if we are standing still
staying back with the messengers and recreational guys
our motivation is simply "get out and ride"
everyone today is in their rain gear
heavy fog and drizzle all afternoon
sprinting through a wooded park over a footbridge back to the point soon
heading back for the good Lord's bells
ratha-bhojana-vrksa sees our palms fold
the action gurudeva told
coming up to Kumar's welcome
and in the evening "a lion on the chase"
purple and green nightdress
come for sunrise bells and be blessed
