in chocolate brown and teal
colors of a team
"Among fishes I am the shark" Krsna says so it's for real
chapter 10 verse 31, hey! that's halloween
rose and gerbera leis are floating
on the gentle breeze
just look and see
the afternoon is clear cycle babble and i take the dare
hammer to Mahamuni's post box collect his present there
top of the hill in crisp winter air
the skaters are cool
tight circles and pirouettes rule
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles as we fold our palms
vijaya welcomes us home in a way that's calm
after the sun sinks in to sailor's delight
red sky at night
the soft yellow and gold of hiranya kasipu
now say good night to you
Saturday, December 29, 2012
a purple turban upon his head
sequins and bangles almost red
white silk charms every eye
that's cause there's a full moon in the sky
rose gerbera leis fragrance all around
following as their chodders and skirts gently float up and down
this darsana makes all happy chasing away misery
any sight will take Maya's spell off me
cycle babble and i out while the day is dry
the cove and through the harbor and tennis park
racing the setting sun trying to beat the dark
through treacherous triangle past the choc-o-lot house
the market is quiet as a mouse
ratha-bhojana-vrksa sees our bow
smiles and says get back now
Kernel of divine love welcomes us home
ceremony of the bells under the simhasana's dome
phoenix nightdress at day's end
such fun for everyone's best friend

come upon a word game
letters go flying in a gust of wind
gather up the tiles and see they've made
a new phrase
it's "diet olive"
from Guru Maharaja's sutra "die to live"
take a look at the rose leis with sumanas flowers
with gerberas that strike the hour
rain is on the way the sky looks
so we fly down to the point of the hook
among joggers pickpockets and flames
quickening the pace into the games
with the darsana of "diet olive" unfurled
it'll take us right on into the upper world
Gurudeva has re-written our fate
it's a miracle mom! purple with silver lemay
a nightdress made as fast as a laser ray
and now they dance the night away

devotees looking at Gandharvika's feet
does anyone see the smile but me?
but isn't it fun
seamstress got out her measuring tape
it was Gaura Purnima and she made Mahaprabhu a new cape
orange and white colors of the day
purple roses in the leis
cycle babble and i spin on the broadband
streets are still wet we understand
through lion's park up skater's hill
the point of the hook wind is getting shrill
solstice has come and in the park
people offer services to away the dark
through treacherous triangle and over the rise
to the whaler's detail we fly
past the hospital and marcedo de las pulgas
now ratha-bhojana-vrksa seems to smile
we bow our heads and hammer a harder to make the last mile
Mahamuni welcomes back to punctually sound the shank
in the evening admire the elephant with rings upon his trunk
adbhuta simha is the nightdress is it orange or green
come to mangle arati and you'll see what i mean
Wednesday, December 26, 2012
look up
be ready they're coming
learn to be a good receiver
the saffron mercy particles
are falling all around us
look close
you'll see them
there on Srimati Gandharvika's sari
parrots keeping themselves in hiding
waiting to sing the glories
of Radha and Krsna
remembering this blue and yellow dress
will save us from Maya
leis of roses
becoming beautiful on Their bodies
rain's coming
cycle babble and i need to take cover
aware of the drops water
falling endlessly
let's go between them
they could hit us
make us loose our balance
and not be ready for the bells ceremony
round the tennis park over the harbor
to the natasala going full bore
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles knowing we'll be back at four
then in the evening
nightdress as brilliant as a midnight sun
even in their chodders they have so much fun
Tuesday, December 25, 2012
this outfit came in a bag marked pills
one was for the big Deities and one was for the small
the Govardhana's was unmarked by then we'd figured out the drill
Mahaprabhu brought the prescription for the age
"enechi ausadhi maya" wipe maya's disease at every stage
Mahaprabhu's leis is very short but he doesn't mind at all
the sun came back today
cycle babble and i are excited to play
round the bout and spinner's church sufferer thakura smiles
as we pedal to the trail that's wild
over beach hill on our way back
whalers' bags are well packed
market is open for a little while
ratha-bhojana-vrksa sees bow and blesses us for the last miles
mi ray says "hey" and chants a magic spell
revealing to us the ceremony of the bells
in deep blue with yellow the lion necklace makes us laugh aloud
taking rest the thakuras seem to float upon a cloud
Sunday, December 23, 2012
on this the second ekadasi day
Roy G. Biv came to play
seamstress worked in every color in the rainbow
leis of winter flowers
can take the cold
mums and daisies strong and bold
cycle babble and i are spinning slowly
between the drips at saint dagwood's park turning round
carefully up the hills faster down
past the shop through treacherous triangle minding how we go
market's closed again today
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles as we bow but not much to say
get the Thakuras out of bed
the ceremony of the bells comes next
then su santidad reads the text
nightdress is "the touch that kills"
giving all at mangle arati a thrill
since that Gaura Purnima a couple of years ago
these pleats have been rolling putting on show
Mahaprabhu's cape is the very best of all
as the pleats keep on rolling from wall to wall
leis of mums and roses swaying with their gait
always precisely on time, never ever late
the rain keeps on falling
cycle babble and i hear them calling
"there's space between for both of you
besides just what else are you going to do?"
around the usual horn
the point to cove and natasala and the shop where cycles are born
treacherous triangle lets us splash through
whalers sing out from under the roof trying to turn sky to blue
the market is closed today
and ratha-bhojana-vrksa seeing our palms fold points the way
vijay welcomes us back just before the bells
devotees cheer and kirtan swells
in the evening the yellow silk
makes all feel smooth as milk
Saturday, December 22, 2012
blue with purple, black
with pink trimming the dress
a Tuesday's morning outfit
Giridhari's parrot belt
button mums rose petals with daisies
topped with parrot mukuts as folks consciousness raises
the dry pavement under our wheels sheen
clipped in to indexed shifting chasing the team
synchronized pedaling round the corner the route we're delt
the roadie, the cycle cross, the messenger's heart melts
flag on their helmet blowing in the wind
whalers detail round the bend
ratha-bhojana-vrksa waving us home
we bow chanting om
bells are ringing
devotees singing
and in the evening
to bed in prahlad-a-dad
a U knee Q double feature
Giridhari's chodders like flutter byes some see
how the full rose leis are setting souls free
now it's down to hook by the point this day
the sufferers on their way
tennis park over the bridge of the harbor boats are in
rounding the natasala got to keep going
past the market through the southland into the wood
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles as we fold our palms says get back as you should
to ring the bells in ceremony
greeted by Mahamuni
and tonight it's tomorrow or just the end of time
in their nights are seen to draw colder
at mangle arati the devotees will feel bolder
noble grace and regal elegance
swaying in ecstatic dance
the tailor of Vrndavana brought these parrots down
found cloth in their same colors
and the seamstress' head spun round
blue and green and purple red
her creativity was fed
came with capes and vests
a spectacular outfit yes
leis of roses mums and daisies
devotees all went crazy
from the hills of the ashram to the beach between the lakes
sprinting through the harbor bridge the sun's out for goodness sakes
bhakta blade's bhajan kutir is near spinner's church
gulls watching from their perch
the pitch is on the left
under the first highway moving fast and deft
ratha-bhojana-vrksa sees us bow and spin
Mahamuni greets us with a grin
bells go off kirtan swells
i swa Vraja kissing santa claus feelings jell
let us hear Giridhari play his flute by the kund
under the waxing moon
a Janmastami celebration one year
all were spellbound by Gandharvika's heart 'twas clear
her sky blue Giridhari yellow Mahaprabh's is purple paisley
more leis of rose and daisy
rain is back and cycle babble and i are between the drops
hope no trees are going to flop
dark clouds in the sky
we know we need to keep an eye
getting back welcomed by vijaya
bells are ringing
while the devotees are singing
and tonight it's deep within the far off jungle dancing as if with wings
they enjoy the night like anything
Wednesday, December 19, 2012

and tonight it's tomorrow or just the end of time
in their nights are seen to draw colder
at mangle arati the devotees will feel bolder
noble grace and regal elegance
swaying in ecstatic dance
if you want to get an outfit done
there must be a pattern
the tailor can go by
and thus make a dress to elicit ecstatic cries
instruct the tailor well
the button mum, rose petal and daisy leis make this a story to tell
today in cycling gear
cycle babble and i go out without fear
that the raindrops will come down
from the point of the hook to the cove it turns the frowns
and mental cobwebs around
get back for the ceremony of the bells
hammering pall mall
and Mahamuni raises his arms high
shouting out "ki jaya"
tonight's baby blue lotus float
everyone's mangal arati boat
Monday, December 17, 2012
Gaura Purnima brings another outfit
a zigzag pattern through it
connecting each that way
very creative wouldn't you say
the truth travels like a serpent
and needs a guide to interpret
purple and electric green
rose, mum and lily leis
mukuts of color make it such a wonderful scene
between the drops cycle babble and i try again
taking shelter of rain gear a break in the clouds and we begin
hearty are out while others cower in their beasts
slippery streets make it an even greater feat
turning home at the cove
the natasala, treacherous triangle a treasure trove
of challenges to make it for bells
ratha-bhojan-vrksa's happiness swells
Mahamuni greets us in waterproof sox
with the sound of the sank the kirtan rocks
this evening is baby blue
a simple name it's true
for a nightdress from Radha's birth
elegant and full of mirth
Sunday, December 16, 2012
look how the thakuras are happily smiling
seeing their devotees coming miles for their darsana
presenting themselves for service
dressed in pink and white
that some say looks like a wedding cake
coming on vyasa puja i had a different take
Guru Maharaja took a verse of Prabhupada
frolicking in the pasture with Krsna and the cows
and cowherd boys as close friends
so i called it "pasture media time" to that end
leis of mums, lilies and sumanas flowers
seeing how love is above power
playing in the pasture
is the rain coming cycle babble and i watch the sky
spinning along the jungle path where the birds are on the fly
smelling the ozone in the air
by now we're in the clock square
along the street round the bout as we all so often do
up the beach hill people out are only a few
lighthouse keeping watch over boats near and far
then on the right there's a tribute to an ancient trolley car
natural bridge before the abhavan mauli a bit more time to rome
the wilder trail begins the way home
round the spinner's church and the shop
through treacherous triangle with a skip jump and a hop
market is washed out
bowing to ratha-bhojana-vrksa leaving no doubt
bells is coming up when we pull in
kernel of divine love greets us with a grin
when the day is said and done
hiranya kasipu is what they'll have for their tonight's fun
soft gold and yellow silk
smooth as milk
Saturday, December 15, 2012
Guru Maharaja appeared at midnight
to carry the conception that could change the world
this dress was offered in celebration
all these shades of purple calls the night to mind
cloth came from one's contribution
and the seamstress let it all combine
today there are leis of roses and mums swaying with their gait
in such a way devotees coming for darsana can't wait
chilly day but cycle babble and i spin the winding road
as best we can in winter mode
saying "hey" at the shop
then round the bout to beach hill's top
sufferer thakura looks so cold
but like his flock he's standing bold
we go on to the wild trail
returning hearing the whalers
then keeping the pitch on the left we go
under the first highway in evening's flow
ratha-bhojana-vrksa says "ashram ho!"
got to get there for the bells
the sank blows and kirtan swells
in the evening white with red and olive stripes
in their angora chodders they felt right
Friday, December 14, 2012
have you seen the thakuras in their pink today
with the little bits of green
they dance and sway the day away
as memory comes that Srimati Gandharvika's eyes are green
at least that's what some say
leis of roses and gerbera daisies
showing the world their faces
mukuts of jari thread in lotus shape
while Srimati Gandharvika's is one which the same say
is called a Sita Mukut
does this combination of pink and green
go on eternally?
it seems that it will be forever seen
cycle babble and i spin under the canopy of trees
feeling the breeze and the cold
waves wearing their white caps keeping the sufferers in their folds
from the cove past the tennis park on serve
by the natasala the beasts are thick and we had to swerve
through treacherous triangle to choc-o-lot strawberry house
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles seeing us bow
urging us get back for bells any how
the lotus nails tonight not a weapon
still sharp enough to put a hurt on
Hiranya Kasipu after
his ultimate capture
they take their rest
raising with a smile with which all will soon be blessed
this lunar day is amavasya
remembering leis like daisy chains that laugh
keeping all the devotees on the path
the bumblebees are on her veil
the curtain opens and they put their faces on the floor
each and every devotee knows the score
cycle babble and i sprint off in the early afternoon
main street round the bout and up the beach hill
if sufferer thakura sees one of his flock taking a spill
come see the Thakuras in their "Madhuvrata" on this day of the dark moon
we hear the voice of Gurudeva in our heads
circle spinner's church
direction has to change
treacherous triangle is light and that's strange
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles as our palms fold
mi ray makes a joke to lighten our load
the sound of bells in our ears
our vision becomes clear
"Madhuvrata" is the dress of the dark moon
as night closes in purple and green offers everyone a boon
thakuras are dressed
warmly for rest
Wednesday, December 12, 2012
Sue 'nila vasana
a beautiful blue dress Mahamuni brought for Gaura Purnima day
Mango and green for Mahaprabhu
purple and yellow Giridhari traditional colors for those two
petal and whole roses combine for kaleidoscopic leis
such a sight takes all that is troublesome away
cycle babble and i
out in the afternoon sun now that it's dry
round the opal's place and point of the hook
over the bridge in the harbor the boats are out just look
round the corner the cruiser king is on the sidewalk again
treacherous triangle slowing the traffic for all to get through
saluting the whalers as we often do
ratha-bhojana-vrksa smiles at us we bow
sprinting through the curves watched by a farmer's cow
su santidad welcomes us back for the bells
kirtan begins and devotion of the folks jells
orange with a panel skirt
prahlad-a-dad nightdress designer expert
dancing all night till brahma muhurta's shows it's first light
Tuesday, December 11, 2012
as we came to the nath mandir today
we saw flowers showering from the sky
we caught them up
taking them for offering
went into the garden to pick some things for leis
must have been a hundred bees buzzing and collecting their honey
and i wondered if they knew the pastimes of Madhuvrata
cycle babble and i went spinning to skater's hill
where the young kids ride their waves
without misbehaving
and they probably never guessed their actions were observed
hammered to the sunny cove
to offer worship to the sun
very many already had begun
and i know they didn't see the hills are the high priests
came back on the winding street
bowing before ratha-bhojana-vrksa who makes our ride complete
saw the Kernel of Divine Love chanting his rounds
bringing us in before the sank sounds
and the devotees begin kirtan
in the evening meeting with the mellow fellow
dressed the thakuras for rest
in their mukuts and effulgence "lemon jello"
the lion laughs aloud
Monday, December 10, 2012
on the first ekadasi of the month
the thakuras wear this outfit
flowers on the mango, blue and yellow this darsana gives such benefit
leis of full roses arranged so marvelously
following the movements of their dance charmoniously
cycle babble and i were almost caught up in a race
among the team till we heard the thakura's voice
giving us the signal that the ceremony of the bells was coming soon
sprinting down the beach hill
around the bout with such a thrill
past the shop hearing the whalers sing
watching as some skaters performing as if on a string
up the winding road
offering respect to ratha-bhojana-vrksa who lightens our load
bunnies welcome us back and murka rings the bell
kirtan goes on intoxicated by the incense smell
in the evening red chinese silk
mixed with white silk creamy as fresh cow's milk
Sunday, December 09, 2012
start picking flowers from any bush around town
before too long it's been chopped down to the ground
but up till then pick the flowers and make leis
each and every day
i
never stopped being a sumanas child
the surya puspa mukuts and effulgence
yellow with blue trim with more puspa
cycle babble and i keep going
out on both sides of the rain
since this afternoon was a bit breezy
staying dry was quite easy
circling through the park
racing with the dark
stealthily through treacherous triangle plot
past the choc-o-lot parking lot
ratha-bhojana-vrksa sees our palms fold
giving respect as gurudeva told
the bells are coming and we can't be late
mi ray shines his light
makes our path in bright
later synchronicity is the dress of the night
Mahaprabhu in mango Srimati Gandharvika in blue
Giridhari has his cape ready for a quick flight
Saturday, December 08, 2012
teacher and students come thirty-five over seventeen
gotta call time out to be seen
new outfit purple and yellow
made from silk so soft and mellow
cape for Giridhari and it's covered with diamonds and stars
after bells the speech begins teacher in the chair
tells 'em this is like our Saint Patrick's day
seed bead mukuts and effulgence are crowning the display
roses mums and petals in the leis
causing a swell of divine love
incense smoke clouds above
today's sky is blue
all the way to the harbor cycle babble and i spin with quite a few
from treacherous triangle saw the natasala
a voice came as if from a dream
"come for the bells, come to be seen!"
whalers sang us along to the market
through the lot where most park it
ratha-bhojana-vrksa nods as we bow
got to get back for bells now
kirtan goes on in full gear
Mahamuni sees us says he's happy we're here
deep within the far off jungle nightdress
cold sees them with chodders to caress
keep them warm
right through mangal arati's horn
Friday, December 07, 2012
if you're dreaming coming home
from somewhere and a flutter butters by
saying "come with me i'll get you home"
you'll soon be going through a forest
where everything is a personality
every tree and creeper could stand up
and give you directions where to go
all are dancing and singing
conducted by the bamboo flute
Mahaprabhu has brilliant green
Giridhari's has yellow mixed in
Srimati Gandharvika has a red mesh veil
and one might see christmas lights
small white mums with sumanas flowers are the leis
all combine 3derfully today
over the harbor bridge and the natasala
throughout the park it's getting dark
while the treacherous triangle, caught in mid flight,
has us home before the night
kernel of divine love welcomes us in
soon the ceremony of the bells begins
next comes the miracle mom
a nightdress made in the time it takes to bang a gong
Thursday, December 06, 2012
does the great society take chance to hasyaon you?
does their group japa more than yours?
they worry so much when arati is just a little late
just can't seem to stand the wait
is their crease so sharp you cut your hand on it?
while ours are falling into bits
their minds and bodies so pristine
oh yeah they're quite squeaky clean
but seeing the Thakuras in their orange brown
will turn the whole scene around
rain says "wrong!"
i say "yeah, right"
cycle babble says lets go!
we're off
between the drops again
down on the drops when our speed begins
round the point to the cove
over the harbor late afternoon sky is mauve
natasala sees us turn to the park
someone asks "isn't it getting dark"
we hit our lights
through treacherous triangle in mid flight
past the marcedo de las pulgas
bowing ratha-bhojana-vrksa says "be blessed"
returning home mi ray
shouts "okay!"
the bells go on
at night it's purple with a hint of mint green
thakuras calling out "come to mangle arati and be seen"
