March 24
From Mahaprabhu’s purple kirta with gold paisley pattern to Gandharvika’s purple sari and two sequin peacocks on the palo. Lotus flowers on Giridhari’s red coat made this the first red outfit they were offered.
Rose petal leis are so wonderful. Light enough so they don’t feel them yet enough to accent the way their bodies move as they dance across the stage.
Quickly past the ratha-bhojana-vrksa saluting as I go. Taking the main road and around the parking lots over the bridge where a team is sprinting to the finish. The gecko awaits as he’s finished his day’s work and pedals along with me. To the harbor and between the lakes to hear the toffee nose cry “Fragment!” Sufferers are back in school today or where ever they go so the east cliff is quiet. The toad road leads us on to the wharf road which takes me to the main road. The long and winding one carries us past the tree and we fold our palms and sprint on for the vaikalika service. The gecko turns at the drive and promises to meet me again tomorrow.
They call east Bengal the Radhadesa, call this one baby blue is the nightdress tonight. Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika-Giridhari enjoy their pastimes to the fullest extent in the warming night.
