It was Gaura Purnima, can you remember
Which year it was? It’s written down on the old calendar, looking through the closet room so I won’t be wrong.
It’s such a happy day as I hear them sing
Such an ecstatic feeling it’s time for the arati bell to ring
Folks coming to celebrate and hear the pravacan
i thought i saw my cousin Ben but i could be dead wrong.
Mahaprabhu is peeking through the drawn curtain
'cause i'm dressing him in this dress and taking too long
Ganga Yamuna style, called Nadia Sasadhara
a name of Mahaprabhu from the mangala arati song.
A bulb burned out on the altar and so i pedaled off for a new one. "Respects to Thee, Ratha-bhojana-vrksa" i pray so happily going by. Not so many people out maybe 'cause they're getting ready for a different celebration. The gecko is closing and so can only shout out "They can't stop you now" with that talasman i make through the triangle and to the harbor. The boats are out as i pass under the skull and cross bones. Some several have gathered in the sunny cove for a bon fire and to share the afternoon. On the east cliff a father and his boy are pedaling together. He tells him to make a left on the same road i am so i increase my speed to put as much distance between them as i can get. The lumber yard is closed since it's late in the day and i go around the opal cliff where some of the sufferers are on their way home and peeling off their wet suits. Keeping the soccer pitch on my right i head to the wharf road and on the the main one. At the go light there is a "sweet shop" on my right and i take the right onto the long and winding. There is a deer crossing the road to meet it's mate and i again step up my pace to try and avoid them. They're big and i don't want to get hit by them. The ratha-bhojana-vrksa seems to approve and smile as i pass under it's branches. The sandhya awaits and so i pedal into the barn and get ready for the service.
Such a blessed event as dressing them in the nightdress of the same name. Mahaprabhu's crown balls to the floor as i begin to shut the door so i go back and replace it then turn out the light and wonder what may happen for the rest of the night.
