Look what the thakuras are wearing today
Those favorite colors that have been on holiday
It still seems they’re the pets
The aruna har posse rides again
devotees are so joyful seeing the thakuras smiling
taking care to gather flowers
making leis of roses for your divine love is far above power
Above this treasure is no other
Pedaling out taking a right at the main street
Over the first highway careful not to miss a beat
Around the corner a new way to avoid the triangle, sweet!
Between the lakes the windmill is on the left
Getting through the joggers pedalers must be deft
While on the pitch the players cheer
The ratha-bhojana-vrksa calls out clear
Kalarupa is alongside to the path
Jump the chain the quail wave the way up to the math
Benedictions say no weapons
Not in the air or on the land
Neither day nor night
Still the mission didn’t fail
Because he used his lotus nails
Which names the dress to night
Lets all sing about the stars and yellow roses
The black bumbles around Srimati Gandharvika’s toeses
When the moon up above is dark
It’s light has done disembarked
Tuberose, sunflowers, make leis
that while the thakuras dance sways left to right and gently play
around the southland to the postbox past lion’s park
along the beach seeing the sufferers on the waves
teaching fixed gear freaks to behave
speaking with friends
hearing what they recommend
I take leave but murkha goes under the first highway
Asarvada from the ratha-bhojana-vrksa in the evening ray
a traveling kitchen stands on the trail
to welcome murkha back for the sandhya not to fail
outside the moon is dark
inside the dress is blue
out of a tree a screech owl flew
pujari wait a little while
an English class is coming ridding many mile
the outfit’s cloth is yellow with purple and gold
but let us see how it all came together
devotees you’ll have to wait a while
they say the teacher is still ridding many a mile
teacher we all ask you
tell the pujari to open the curtain
open it so we might see the new outfit
on this Gaura Purnima
now the curtain opens and the devotees they all smile
seeing the cape and mukuts made for Gaura Purnima day
purple of the Easter season and starting fashionably late
teacher says this is our Saint Patrick’s day
so his students will understand
how this celebration is so grand
leis maker bring some rose buds along with some mums
even a few tuberose string them one by one
then let them be enhanced
as the sway as the thakuras dance
from the research park around
to the big street to trace the beach where the sufferers are found
driftwood and geese
watch as Murkha and I feel relief
getting free from local color
I take my leave while Murkha makes an appointment
Then is off to the vaikalika with kalarupa’s accompaniment
With the asurvada of ratha-bhojana-vrksa
Following vaisnava siksa
Deep within the far off jungle
Name of the nightdress,
Is where devotees sometimes go to bungle
