we’re making
an outfit for Janmastami day
to keep devotees minds wandering
to the Thakura’s lotus feet
and even though the tailor made it wrong
it’s right ‘cause Krsna planned it right? how it was made
fixing the outfit in a creative way
so when devotees minds are wandering
it’s there they will go
and even though the tailor made it wrong
it’s right ‘cause Krsna planned it right? how it was made
taking the time for fixing all the things
that weren’t important to the tailor anyway
so when the devotees minds start wandering
they’ll feel good going there
but even though the tailor made wrong
it’s right ‘cause Krsna planned it right? how it was made
leis of roses and sumanas flowers
caress the Thakura’s gently bending forms
so if devotes minds go wandering
they’ll go there
so even though the tailor made it wrong
it’s right ‘cause Krsna planned it right? how it was made
light and easily from the asrama to the main street pausing to offer respect to the ratha-bhojana-vrksa. Cyrus Liberty has many people there to talk with. Some are laughing some are celebrating birthdays and others are speaking about pictures from an exhibition. From there it’s over the first highway to hospital curve and on to the big street. Purnaana is there with adrak and keju. “Do you have our card?” a cashierette asks. As Murka pedals along with me there comes in to view a pedaler on something that looks like a hog. Wild. Soon though the puggal sprinter overtakes him. Stopping for a go light allows a fixed gear freak to pass from behind. As he goes along he puts distance on by grabbing a passing beast and in that way “drafting”. Murka the puggal sprinter throws in a few shenanigans to increase the distance. There’s a guy with a monkey holding a bottle in a paper bag on his helmet. Now there is some heavy fog/light rain falling in the faces of me and Murka so he makes the decision to start for the asrama. No epeaalers today. Very strange. The ratha-bhojana-vrksa calls to see the folded palms before sending the kalarupa to set the pace to the sandhya. A gaggle of girls around seven years giggles as Murka and I enter the barn and wipe down the rigs.
A remix of a day dress offered on the appearance day of Guru Maharaja the ninth day of the waxing moon of Kartik. A late night broken jewelry along with the other tricks allowed them burn the night ghee.
Seeing all the stars on Griidhari’s cloak
Like the devotes everyone has heard of
They still live in the holy tirthas
And in Caitanya Caritamrta their names
are written on palm leaves
Take care, of Ramacandra Puri
“cause if he sees you eating he just might criticize
but take shelter of Prabhu Nityananda and yours will be such a happy life
if you come to the class of Gadadhara Pandita
you’ll have to bring your own book
for the pages of his have been washed clean
by the flower petal offerings of his tears
sitting with Raghunatha dasa Goswami
might allow a taste of the highest bliss
that Ranananda Raya and Swarupa Damodara
are so fully engaged that they miss
Seeing all the stars on Giridhari’s cloak
Like the devotees everyone has heard of
Murka and I take off with just to send some mail and then to see the stars that have risen. Around the southland to the big street past the trader’s The bear greets me. Down the toad road and keeping the tennis park on the left Murka and I pass the harbor where there is a family pedaling along. Murka and I blow by and hear mom saying lookout monsters. Up over the bridge crossing Saint Dagwood’s river. After viewing the stars it’s off to the beach hill to the bhajana kutir of Bhakta Blade. I take leave of Murka at the shop and he goes around the pedaler’s ramp to the pasu asraya marg. At the main street taking a right crossing the bridge over the first highway past the market de las puglos hearing the call of the ratha-bhojana-vrksa where he bows his head and takes up the kalarupa. He dusts the kalarupa to make it in under the tag of the sandhya.
All the temples in India seem to be some shade of this heavenly cloud blue. But Giridhari is near the same shade so he answers the musical question, “can a blue god sing the whites?” by wearing mostly white with blue trim that way the twain don’t merge. They go on to take rest and enjoy their evening sports happily
