I take off alone today and bow my head to the ratha-bhojana-vrksa on to the main road all the way to the hospital curve. The gecko is waiting at the rodeo creek. We take the right and pass the tennis park on our way to the lakes. We pass between them and on to the road of honky-tonks and bars to the opal cliffs. We go on to the soccer pitch and the toad road. The gecko and I pass through some fixed gear freaks. There are so many of them there's a rally going on. We weave in and out of the back of the pack and then we come to the toad road.
