Were you there twelve years ago today?
Did you hear the plea of Srila Gurudeva?
When he invited Sri Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika-Giridhari to come and stay
Accept our service and take us out of this mundane play
Were you there?
Did you see the blue dress and how the jungle man made their hair a mess?
Did you hear about Mahaprabhu’s fast?
When murka invited Srila Gurudeva to view the evening offering
Were you there?
Did you hear him say “now I can take prasadam, Mahaprabhu has eaten. You have done it perfect.”
Were you there?
The rose petal leis that were of the right weight to float in the breeze and the new jewelry that matched so well
Did you come to see?
Did you Diet Olive when the installation took place and we remembered it today?
A quick and smooth ramble past the ratha-bhojana-vrksa with palms folded. Pedaling at a cruising speed to the whaler’s the gecko is waiting there. We join and turn to the pedaler’s ramp over the Saint Dagwood’s river. We break into the first sprint at the hopeful street and continue to the toad’s. He joins us without making us miss a stroke. The navapatra is on the right and we take the right at the wharf road. The opal cliff and the point of the hook take us to the redone road and we slow to a cruise again as we pass the dark natasala. Picking up the cruiser king and a bit of speed we go through Saint Dagwood’s park. Up against the wall over there is a dreadlock headed gent, you know he’s not rusty though since his dreads are ideal. We go through the town and I can pedal as fast as them but I stop at all the signs. Floating back up the hill on sea street the gecko and cruiser king get back to their shops. That leaves the toad and I to make through the triangle to the pedaler’s ramp. He makes the left on the hopeful street back to his own place and I pass the tennis park and slip between the lakes. Trying to remain below the radar I sprint to the wharf road and on to the main one. At the long and winding I turn to offer respect to the ratha-bhojana-vrksa and make it to shake the hand of the sandhya and sing the love call.
Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika-Giridhari slipped into "a lion on the chase" after the big party day. The lion that chases away our elephantine material desires. Nrsimha Bhagavan saves the day once again.
