Many devotees are here
and the moon is full
all come to celebrate Mahaprabhu’s appearance day
if they were on parikrama, they’d be on their way
Saint Patrick’s Easter comes fashionably late
Pulled into a rest stop at the summit gate
Got the phone to check the rate
Teacher called and asked for the arati to wait
Wild roses from the land and asrama garden make the leis
For “Saint Patrick’s Easter comes fashionably late”
Murkha and I are out for a quick one to the southland to see the friends gathered there. Mahamuni’s post box is next on the list before going along the beach. The tennis park is on the right but Murkha and I go to the natasala to see it’s waiting for the show tomorrow. I take leave there and Murkha has to hustle back over the first highway to the long and winding to fold his palms to the ratha-bhojana-vrksa and pull the kalarupa to the sandya to be greeted by a young who makes sure he’s well hydrated.
The nights are still well chilly even though the candanyatra time has past so as the Thakuras dress in the white with green and red ribbons along with small flowers, “deep within the far off jungle” their dress for their evening pastimes
