About this time of year, just before Gaur Purnima, a few years ago the new dress was being considered. The seamstress had the feeling she was only without inspiration for a combination of a new dress. And then along came a couple of young ladies. They spoke of yellow and red and orange. "Has seamstressji ever made an outfit with yellow, orange, and red?" "No" was my response. They countered with "we think they should" and an idea within my mind was lit and i knew i'd not be satisfied until i'd suggested it to the seamstress. When she heard it, she ran with it and this is the result. "Sumanus flower" leis today, short and not too heavy. Certainly more than yesterday but as they sway to the sound of Giridhari's flute or the mrdanga and karatalas of Mahaprabhu's kirtan they won't feel any more than the weight of a mustard seed.
Ratha-bhojana-vrksa is happy in the sunny afternoons as i am. i join my hands in respect of SGM's words to respect this tree. Sprinting down the main road as i have the last two days but with a curve over Saint Dagwood's river to the redone road. The theater is waiting for tomorrow to open. The gecko is installing new brakes so can't join in the chase for big blue today. Bouncing over the patched road by the marine museum and battling Vyau's energy that makes pedaling feel like climbing a hill. The mountain men are still holding the skateboarder's park, looping the loop and defying the ground. Rounding the corner of the railroad bridge a fellow pedaler nearly head-ons me but a swerve keeps me out of trouble. Ahead is a former pedaler who has attached a gasoline engine to take over the pedaling for him. The gecko is finished so joins me through the triangle. The bear awaits also and we cross the bridge to the long and winding road to the asrama door where the vaikalika is about to happen.
And in the ninth Guru-Gauranga Gandharvika-Giridhari are waiting for their night pastimes to begin. They dress quickly and then i'm on my way.
