Two we hold in memory most high, chose today to return to the spiritual sky
They left us here to rejoice not cry that they'd turned and bid us good bye.
The dark moon brought out the bumble bees. Garlands of roses and rotodendrum made everyone say jaya!
pedaling through the town today i came upon one who i knew to be a swami, uttaria round his neck and mark of tilak on his head. Spoke of how he'd taught the people why they lived and what to do before they die. Then it was around the sunny cove, the hook the opal and east cliffs. The sufferer murti and the sea lion rock. Natural bridges saw those who had come over the mountain to see what they could see and try to beat the heat. Up past the mission and the clock tower through the park and back to the asrama. One car driver greeted me and sped off. Then at the next light i caught up to him and he shouted out "even in my car you beat me!" As i rounded a bend a bumble bee decided he wanted to wear my helmet too so stung me. i felt like it was a moment to remember the kernel of divine love.
The motorcycle sloka slinger sang to us of those two above. How they left behind their boat to take us to the opposite shore to rejoin them far away from here.
This evening once again it was a miracle mom that the Deities brought me back for the sandhya and so on. The hot July night has called them out for their pastimes under the stars in their green, purple and blue dress
