One day in London as i pedaled along in the south east near Greenwhitch mean time,i came upon a ship called Cutty Sark. There was a sign nearby explaining that 'cutty sark' was an old Scottish word that means short skirt. It said that the captain of this ship had been on land and walking along when he came to a house where a girl was dancing inside wearing a very short skirt. i think the story went that then he took her back onto the ship and gave it the name Cutty Sark.
So a couple of Janmastamis back our seamstress made Radharani's skirt a little too short. She corrected it by adding an underskirt decorated at the bottom which comes below the skirt, That way it's long enough. So for that reason the outfit the Deities are wearing today is also called Cutty Sark.
This afternoon i pedaled down by the beach. Many of Srila Prabhupada's morning walks took place on beach somewhere. There i saw many people who he jokingly called 'sufferers' with their long boards and wet suits. Some cheered and shouted out " Spandex warrior!" as i pedaled by. But i don't believe they knew that i am a pujari.
Then this evening the Deities were dressed in clothes offered on Srila Prabhupada's appearance day simply called, the most blessed event.
