Looked up and saw today is Ekadasi
Reminded me of Bhimasena
Coming in the purusottma month
There isn’t anything else going on
Incense smoke wafting from out behind the curtain/
Mixing with the smell of potatoes in the air
Someone had brought a jar of flowers after a couple of days
it wasn’t there
this outfit is just for Ekadasi
every color in the rainbow
big flowers on Giridhari’s chodder
and Gandharvika is in orange
blue and fuchsia for Mahaprabhu
silken sari in a Bengali style
You remember Bhimasena
How he had a hard time to observe Ekadasi
Aster today as the moon goes through it’s cycle
There’ll be some time before the next one
Fourteen days give or take a few
Leis of orange roses for Gandharvika-Giridhari
Yellow ones for Mahaprabhu
To the spacey highway where the sun is just low enough to allow Murkha to see the virtual friends faces. Over the first highway to the whalers and the house that taught choc-o-lot to talk-a-lot. Through the treacherous triangle and to the redone road. between the lakes where the sufferers are to the windmill, the pitch is on the left while he goes to the wharf road to the main street. The ratha-bhojana-vrksa calls him back to fold his palms and join the kalarupa in the chase to the sandhya.
To end the busy day the Thakuras slip into their Hiranya kasipu nightdress and are ready to enjoy their pastimes right up to the mangala arati
