Yudhisthira and the evil Sukhini. "I haven't seen this one in a while, it's such a pretty outfit" one of the folks said this morning. Mahaprabhu has a red and purple kirta along with a purple dhoti. Giridhari has a similar red and purple jacket along with a red dhoti. He has a brass belt that goes down the front pleat of his dhoti that meets with the purple boarder that brightens up the plain pleat. Gandharvika has a red long sleeve coli that is the first long sleeve one she had. Her sari is purple with gold sequins. On the palo there are two big peacocks. Also this is one of the first saris with the veil as part of the sari.
Round and round i pedaled today to dodge the construction and make the time bell. Through the parking lots and past the helicopter port at the hospital as i enter the road there is a cemetary on the right. Over the highway and cross the bridge over Soquel creek then the sufferer shop past the basketball park, the home of one of the kids then back around it all for a second look and surprise folks by making the time bell for the sandhya.
They call east bengal the radhadesa this one's called baby blue. They are in anticipation of the new dress tomorrow. The excitment is something that can be felt in the kitchen and as the members of the decorators union work in the temple itself.

As i was putting Giridhari's crown on Him this morning it just didn't want to cooperate. i couldn't help sighing out loud. He who sang with joy the unending glories of our golden lord asked if i was alone. "Yes" i answered. "Oh, talking to the Deities I see". Weeelllll, i don't know about that. Just when i thought i was going to have them ready a little early that crown came along with a different idea. Yes, Saint Patrick's Easter came fashionably late today.
Pedaling along the road from the asrama the kernel of divine love overtook me. As i went about the course of my errands from the asrama to the hardware place i went to get a light bulb for the altar i returned to the asrama then pedaled on again. On my way i saw the kernel again. He was returning to the asrama this time perhaps he thought it strange to see me once again. i went on to the place where i heard the radicals once before. They got the bike lane they wanted and so don't speak there now. from there i went around the twin lakes to the usual places, the frog's gym, the opal cliff and the village. Then a loop around the hook to the sunny cove and a straight line back for the sandhya.
In the month of Kartik on the ninth day of the moon our Gurudeva appeared to save us all from going astray with tidings of the glories of our sweet home. This evening the Deities wear a night dress from one of those celebrations as they perform their pastimes with ever increasing happiness.

Some folks look at this dress and see lotus flowers. But i see the dragon flies too. It must be that it takes about a day to see them. The lotuses grow from the ponds low and overflow with special fragrance. Just a little Bengali Mahal Jadhu. Mahaprabhu and Gandharvika's garlands made by one from carnations, rotadendrums and other flowers. Giridhari's is made by a second with roses, "hare krsna" flowers and trumpet flowers, with a few rose hips.
As i pedaled beyond the shopper's corner i came upon a market run by some other folks. They all knew my name and one of the venders said to me it was really true there were glass blowers and farmers too, with things for sale. "Can you make it back to the asrama for the sandhya in half an hour? It takes me an hour" "Yes i think i can" i went by the clock tower, the mission and fork in the road to come in just in time to pick the flowers and offer the arati
The most blessed event. The warm nights continue and the Deities are enjoying their night time pastimes like anything.

Like a rainbow, the Mohini ekadasi comes in colors everywhere. This year began with this dress becoming one they would wear on the second ekadasi of each month since it has every color of the rainbow in it somewhere it fits the days of the week easily enough. Today the garlands were of big roses and streched with sweetheart ones. These are very fragrant as well as looking fit for the Gods.
i didn't feel like pedaling today so i pushed myself down the road from the asrama. By that time i was in the mood again thinking if i sprint a lot then i can get to the shoppers corner and around the chocolate maker through the twin lakes and all along the east cliff where the sufferers are in view. All us pedals come and go along with joggers too.
One of the warmest evenings in a while so the chodders are in the closet for the night. The peacock crowns and effulgences top the tell me lies dress as always. The Deities dance the night away.

Labatira flowers in the garlands today along with roses, jasmin, and some i don't know but these are some of the nicest garlands they get. The lavender and pale green with silver. Giridhari's jacket lifts as he swirls around dancing with his elephant headed flute. Mahaprabhu and Gandharvika are a bit simpler Mahaprabhu's chodder is straight with no flair at all. Gandharvika has a sheer veil and underskirt with silver circles that extend beyond the skirt. Is it tomorrow? Or just the end of time?
Double loops around the east cliff, the village and theater. So many interesting pedalers today. One was performing a rock show while keeping on hand on the handelbar another was wearing team colors while riding a cruiser and one more had his guitar and dred locks swaying in the breeze while i made it back to the asrama for the evening services
a lion on the chase, purple and green with gold trims. The nights are getting warm it might not be long before the summer comes and they all night pastimes begin.

Yesterday the blue was picked by one of the leading folks but today's is the blue that Radha chooses for herself. The cutty sark back drop is almost and exact match. The usual carnation garlands show me that sometimes i think one thing and Mahaprabhu sometimes has a different idea. The yellow garland i thought would be Mahaprabhu's turned out to be Giridhari's.
Looping up, back and round about to avoid the construction. From the village to the wharf around the opal cliff to the post office. Circle around the medical clinic and repeat to come in for cooking the sweets.
This evening the lotus nails were out. Bhakta Blade couldn't quite get the hang of Gandharvika's sari but together we managed to get it on her. Then he dropped Giridhari's chodder but before it hit the ground it came upon the parampara shelf and he cleanly caught it there. "I can't be humble about that one" he said. Some how they were in bed by a reasonable hour.

Sue 'Nila Vasana, the beautiful blue dress. This one is made from a sari bought by one of the main folks in India some years back. Mahaprabhu and Giridhari's cloth was bought here complete the traditional colors of each Deity. Lord have mercy! Easter lilies with carnations "I didn't have money to get flowers. I didn't have a car. I saw so many flowers I could steal but I didn't have any way to carry them" "Don't steal flowers!" i plead "You can get into more trouble than it's worth"
Traffic was light again today and there was enough of a breeze that i could pedal quickly along the road to the clock tower and then on to the lieberry from there to the natural bridges where the sea lions go. Sprinting all the way back for the sandhya. Wow i feel like i stole it (ha ha)
The velvet of the lions club keeps them warm enough tonight that the chodders are once again back on the shelf.

Sikhipicca camara, the peacock fan the peacock feathers embroidered on this prefab dress gave it that name. Crowns came with this one too. Instead of string to tie them on with they have valcro strips that can adjust easily. Raggedy Ann garlands today, left over donations. Mahaprabhu’s kirta is extra long in this dress extending to his knees.
Pedaling along on the thin line by the side of the road. Down by the sunny cove and the pleasure point where the sufferers go. Oh I often get the feeling that it’s the sad reality that all the cars are on the road and I’m the only one sitting on a brooks/
They call East Bengal the Radhadesa, call this baby blue. The blue is almost the same shade of Giridhari’s skin so he gets white with a little blue trim. Mahaprabhu and Gandharvika have the reverse, that’s why they call it baby blue. The Deities dressed as they are go off for their evening pastimes.

Nila, Syama and Aruna LIVE at the arena of the pure consciousness. This one is blue, black and pink. It was offered on Guru Maharaja's appearance day. Today when i put the back drop behind them Gandharvika's hair went off with it. i couldn't see it anywhere then i noticed that it had some how or other been taken over behind Mahaprabhu. hmmm. "I'd let it fly in the breeze and get caught in the trees... halaluja I adore it!" Today's garland maker's mother brought them in and told me "I think she's as good or better than I am!" It is a true story that if i didn't know i wouldn't be able to tell which one had made them today.
Pedaling around a different way today. i went to all the usual places, the twin lakes, the east cliff to see the sufferers and all but i went in a bigger circle to avoid the roads that have been ravaged by construction. The harbor road is torn to pieces. i'm sure when it's all over and done, when we find that it's once again whole these days will pass me by.
The touch that kills. The rain has gone and the chill is back a little. The chodders are back too. The clear night might invite them out for a dance in the moonlight.

As this dress has so many flower bouquets embroidered on it one of the folks who they had called to see them said "They look like Thanksgiving fairies" Then they asked
"What's this one's name?" "Hiranya Padma" i answered. "That's 'cause this one was offered on Radhastami and She was born under a golden lotus" "What does Hiranya mean?" "Gold" The garlands have Easter lilies and assorted carnations, pompoms and such. Any flower seems to work with this one since there are so many on the dress itself.
Every now and then a good old pedal through the rain is good for the soul (haha) Today there was just enough rain to make the road and my sunglasses wet. A tandem duo went by today. Of course two sets of legs are faster than one so they easily went on ahead. Stopping at the fruit market i noticed one pedaling employee left his bike there with a club but it wasn't around anything, a trusting soul no doubt. As i was leaving he also pedaled off into the rainy Saturday.
The most blessed event sees the end of each Saturday. The rain will keep them in or at least under the umberella this evening. But the clouds keep it warm enough to leave the chodders in the shelf again this evening.

Yellow and blue combine as green. Come together to find the reason Radha gets so much pleasure from serving Krsna. Today the front of Mahaprabhu’s dhoti flips up as he dances in sankirtan while his ankle bells jingle. This is the hottest day of the year in India so in Puri Jagannathadeva is covered with sandalwood paste to cool his body. It goes on for twenty-one days.
The overcast sky keeps the chodders in the closet as the Deities step out in the “tell me lies” night dress.

"Are you going to the Seva Asrama?...." The seamstress says it's deep forest green. Sometimes after talking to her i think i must be colorblind. "I thought that meant you only see black and white" Bhakta Blade told me. The folks said that the Deities are looking super excellent in their black, green, and shinny gold. Today's garlands are of whole roses and a few carnations, short and not too big around. Pink, yellow and white.
While i was pedaling i came upon a bear so i gave him some bread and cheese as he was starving. He thanked me and i continued on my way to the opal cliff and the hook. Then the harbor turning quick dodging the construction which causes extreme bouncing. So i duck into the tennis park then out again around the frog's gym once again on to the basketball park. Turning over a new leaf i head back for the sandhya just before it rained.
It's a miracle mom! i got back before the rain and everything is done. So i put the flowers in the vase they brought today. The cloud cover the rain brought warmed enough so the Deities left their chodders at home tonight.

"Wow! Krsna has taken saffron along with Radha! Well, it's not saffron, it's really orange." One of the folks said that when i opened the curtain this morning. In that way the white knight was talking backward. Still we're wild about it. Today's garlands of carnations even almost went good color-wise.
Still the wind kept blowing, relentless. The cold breeze had the pedalers wraped tightly in wool today still they were out dodging the cars and joggers. From the asrama to the swami's post box and around the snob hill, the tennis park and the railroad track. The shopper's corner to the theater around where the paramedics were tending to a shopping cart person by the old fancy flowers. then around the usual run past the frenchman's gym and the basketball park and back to put the Dieties to bed. The eighteenth of April two thousand seven many a pedaler on the rail trail to heaven.
O deer doe! Have you seen Krsna? That's the night dress tonight. Bhakta Blade's mad skills were in full force this evening. Dressing them complete but forgeting their jewelry and having to restart, knock knock knocking off Gandharvika's crown and so it went. i hope they were enjoying the antics this evening it seemed too cold for going out. The chodders are back on the schedule.

Madhuvrata, the honey bee a touch of black for the dark moon. The appearance day of Gadadhara Pandit. The back drop has a black square to make the yellow jump out. Today's garlands were the suspended animation type. As soon as a i touched them they shed petals all over.
From the driveway of the asrama to the shore at the big dipper, pedaling today in the fresh wind blowing through the boardwalk. All the folks were hiding but the pedalers just couldn't hide. There were pink helmets, red, yellow and even yellow and black like the Deities' outfit.
Pralad a dad, the orange panel skirt outfit. They wore their chodders this evening with the fresh wind still strong they need something to keep them warm during their night pastimes.

Mango, yellow and red from the mouth of one of the young folks here. "It looks like there is some Mexican influence here" another of the older folks said. The garlands were of scraps of donated flowers. yellow fingered little girl is suggesting color schemes to me.
What a day for pedaling, the sun was out the sky was blue i went around the hook and the sunny cove between the twin lakes the school, to the post office. Since it was closed i went back to the sandhya.
They call East Bengal the Radhadesa, call it baby blue. The night is warm so no chodders this evening but then by the morning.... Clearing away the flowers i know that some would do that and take the garlands off and call it a night. Still i've learned that the Deities wear different night dresses and get changed into them each night and why not?

The different shades of purple offered on Guru Maharaja's appearance day. "I was born at midnight" he began speaking. From another talk he said "when I heard that Vrndavan was for shallow thinkers I fell" and i added head over heals for Mahaprabhu. Today the garlands were made by the child of the garland maker for tomorrow. So the styles are the same. Today a new folk asked if there was a back drop. So i went and found one that wasn't made for this outfit but even the seamstress didn't say anything, so it must have fit well.
Pedaling downtown today, a rare thing. But Garuda,"the bird carrier of Visnu", as he is described was waiting for me. Back past a new skateboard park complete with ramps loops along with all the necessary things. Then between the twin lakes up to the opal cliff and back for the sandhya.
In the ninth, also offered on the appearance day of Guru Maharaja who was born on the ninth day of the waxing moon of Kartik. So the day ended as it was played throught the day.

This year's Gaura Purnima dress today so i don't have a picture yet. Mahaprabhu has a narrow chodder that's blue with flowers like the belts of he and Giridhari. Also the crowns and effulgences have the same patterns. Gandharvika's veil has the same flower power. Giridhari has a patka that slides between his legs. Today's garlands were done in a panic. The maker asked someone to substitute but the sub thought it meant to make the garlands today for Sunday. So daffodils, carnations and star gazer lilies came to the rescue. Several folks here today weren't here for the offering of the dress. They all were amazed. "That outfit is splendifourus" one of the folks exclaimed. Most who heard were befuddled, only the select few understood.
The broken spoke is repaired. Down from the shop to the cliffs then up the snob hill. The descent through the village and over Saint Dagwood's creek. Coming up the shopper's corner to the harbor right on red between the lakes back to the asrama for the the evening.
The fresh wind is up again, bringing rain and chilling the air. Enough chill to cause the Deities to put on their chodders, the most blessed event.

From the blue stars on Giridhari's dhoti and chodder to the ruffles on Gandharvika's skirt and the blue sequins on Mahaprabhu's orange pants today was Varuthini Ekadasi. The small Deities had wisteria garlands today quite fragrant, the purple color match the dress so well. Don't tug on Giridhari's cape don't eat halavah on ekadasi and don't miss the paran time.
It was Friday the thirteenth today and as i pedaled along the toad's house a spoke broke. Pedaling to the shop the wrench told me, even though there was half an hour before the close, "I can't do it today. Maybe tomorrow or make an appointment for next week" i walked from the shop and pedaled on around the hook and the opal cliff back for the sunset service. Some Indians saw me pedaling along and were super surprised to see me offering the arati.
Early to bed and early to rise makes the Lord healthy and you know the rest. And even though this is a true story the night dress asks "tell me lies". The Deities were ready for their night pastimes so they got me to put them to bed quickly this evening.

"These bells on Gandharvika's skirt are totally cool" Bhakta Blade told me as we dressed them this morning. By his help they were dressed with bells on. The garlands are of roses and carnations. The center has a rose facing out and two buds beside. The maker said "Every Thursday is green and purple? Next week I'll bring green and purple roses." "Next week is green and black" i told her so she said "Then I'll have to find black roses"
As i pedaled by the opal cliff there were gigantic waves and at least a hundred sufferers riding them. People on the cliff were taking pictures and videos as they came to the beach. On around and picking up the swami's mail back for the sandhya and a half an hour kirtan while the arati was finished in twelve minutes.
"If you say 'Krsna is a bramacari' you'll be able to cross the river" Krsna told the gopis in one story. Giridhari wears an orange dhoti and kirta in this dress, the traditional bramacari color, so this night dress is sometimes also called Krsna is a bramacari. Maybe if i remember that name i'll be able to cross the viraja river when it's time for me to die.

As one of the folks came in to the temple today with a new person i opened the curtain with Mahaprabhu dressed in the day dress with Gandharvika Giridhari still in their night dress. "Thank you Murka, that was wonderful" Giridhari's pink and crystal beads hang from the chodder and end of the jacket. The carnation garlands saw Giridhari's white and red which Bhakta Blade says is the color the communists of Bengal wear. Haha in that way they say "See? Mahaprabhu and Krsna are the original communists" Later in the evening the new person came back and saw the other two dressed in their day clothes too.
Even though the daylight is increasing today i pedaled into the night so much that i needed the light i've already packed in moth balls for the summer. The folks in the asrama driveway asked why i didn't have a light. From the sufferers at the hook to the seals at the natural bridge it was all just to alluring to go back before the flowers closed up.
The lotus nails night dress. The rain we'd been expecting only lasted during the night. This evening they made sure they were dressed early enough for their night pastimes in a dress that wasn't to warm but at the same time wouldn't let them feel to chilly.

If i had a picture of the Deities from today you'd see why the seamstress thought it might make you want to get up and scream. Today there's a red backdrop to bring out the red trim. Of course it takes a certain kind of women to make folks want to get up and scream and for sure Urvasi is of that caliber.
The rain clouds blowing in caused me to take shelter of the barn again. The trainer helped me to see how much i've come back from Navadvipa. The trainer and i full speed ahead.
The lions club keeps them warm this evening with the rain on the way and vyau keeping the trees moving along with the twigs and branches rolling off the roof.

"You're only spending rs300000 and you want what? No, you can't have it your way" That was the attitude of the mukutwalla when the seamstress and friend asked for this outfit the pattern and crowns and such. Since the folks didn't know that they only saw how wonderful the dress looks. The seamstress made the effulgence for Giridhari since the crown was too small. Petal garlands with whole roses and daisy pompoms fit nicely.
Pedaling in and around the twin lakes, sufferers come off the waves and then stand there. So i go on to the harbor and pass the corner of shoppers, the school on my way back to the asrama. One driver has left their boot open and i remind them of it as i flash by.
The Deities wanted to stay up late tonight so they arranged the dress take just a little longer to put on this evening. Then they went off in their own pastimes once again

The smooth Chinese silk yellow and olive with inverted pleats in Gandharvika's skirt and Giridhari's sleeves with red insets. Giridhari's belt was originally made for a different outfit but wasn't the right size somehow it fit this one. Mahaprabhu has a unique style of a vest without a a chodder. Still the rich texture of the silk makes it such an opulent dress it must have been meant for the Deities. Garlands today have big daisies that were died red. The garland maker's hands turned red from them. Also long, large honey suckle stretches them a little but not nearly as long as the lilacs.
With the bunnies hopping around today the streets were quiet. Only a few were out pedaling, jogging or anything so all the way to the natural bridges today by the west cliff. The gulls and sea lions on their rocks mocking the idol few sufferers that ventured out today. Coming up to wake the Deities. A second fine and fancy pedal around the hook and sprinting back for the early sandhya.
When the peacock blue persuasion morphed into tell me lies what was left came along in the ninth. Offered on Guru maharaja's appearance day, the ninth day of the month of Kartik. They take their rest after a long day.

Ah yes, the short skirt dress. Janmastami from the days of yesteryear. Today the garlands were long with the help of hyacinths and lilacs. Mahaprabhu had a toe tickler of lilacs while Giridhari's was a big rose and a couple of star gazers. Gandharvika had lilacs in the center of both sections of the garland. "I didn't mean to make them so long" the maker said. "They're alright" i replied. "If Krsna were in the forest they might be to long" "Yeah" i agreed "If he were running along it might be easier for him to trip" i added. "Thanks Murka" The back drop was missing a piece as i put it up. "I'll go get it" a new recruit told me. Later he returned saying he couldn't find it. i went and retrieved it. "Was it out in the open?" he questioned me. "No, i had to get down under the other backdrops and crawl along on my stomach and dodge falling poles and such. Then i found the missing piece, pick it up and return"
The quietest day in a while just the sound of the chain going between gears as i went by the wharf and opal cliff. A few other beach cruisers and a couple of sufferers. A welcome change from the sights of the past few days.
The deep blue, green fuchsia and red trim for this evenings dress. Quickly quickly they were dressed and off into their evening lila beginning from their beds decorated with transcendentally aromatic flowers

Some several Janmastamis ago this dress was offered. One of the fullest skirts Gandharvika has. It has "boning" in the pleats to keep it from collapsing around her feet. Thus the name "the chipmonks" 'cause i still want a hula hoop. Today's garlands featured a wide variety of flowers including a couple of tulips one of which came off before the it could be lifted up to be put on Mahaprabhu.
Fast pedaling this afternoon. Cars were light again today and no close encounters of the peace officer kind. Teams were out training and others were out for errands, jaya riding or sight seeing. The theater had a group forming for this evening's performance and others were celebrating good Friday with silence and song. Meanwhile back at the asrama the evening services went as usual after the natural bridge, clock tower and mission run.
A copper color night dress that you can't disguise. Peacock crowns and effulgences top this one off. With rain in the forecast perhaps they'll stay in this evening.

"With my mad skills I'll be able to put the belt on under the chodder" Bhakta Blade exclaims. Somehow he did but... "When was this offered?" he asks "Guru Maharaja's appearance...let me see 2002, yeah that's it, the year the Angles won the world series" i answer "Shut up" he says. Hahahaha Bhakta Blade is a Giants fan who never lived down their loss. Follow the Angles, the name of a book of Guru Maharaja's lectures also. The garlands today are of full roses. "It takes a lot of roses to make full rose garlands." Today's garland maker says and gives me Mahaprabhu and Giridhari's garlands. As i put Mahaprabhu's on "You just put it on over his head?" "Yes, but i have to hide behind the curtain to put Giridhari's on Him" "Gandharvika is saying 'you think those are good, Mine is going to be so special'" It is while the other two have a couple of roses facing out, hanging from the center, Gandharvika's has four plus two in the middle of the top too so it hangs like a heart, everybody's favorite way for her to hold the garland.
Pedaling along today i see that the road right off the asrama road has the fire hydrant spraying water into the air. The police and fire men are there one is closing off the valve in the street to make the water stop. Then it's on through the village past the post office, the wharf and along the east cliff to watch the sufferers. It must be a day for it there seem to be fifty or so suffering out there today. No sail boats at the twin lakes today. Then around the harbor and back for the sandhya.
A lion on the chase this evening. Purple and green a combination i'd not have thought of. Giridhari's long jacket flutters as his swirls around in time to the melody of his flute. A dancing actor no less.

"I never get to set their hair when they wear this dress." The hair dresser said today. "I wanted to do silver. I made a plan with silver but Krsna made a different plan." Even though this dress has Mahaprabhu in a pink dhoti, kirta and chodder and Gandharvika has a pink sari Giridhari has a pink dhoti, chodder and turban but his purple jacket and effulgence seems to dictate that this dress be worn on Friday. Carnation garlands today as the standard Wednesday fare. Oh, shut up kid.
What a day to be pedaling. On the road from the asrama there was a car spun out and compressed. The highway patrol was on the scene. Then as i got into the shopping precient someone had hit a fire hydrant and the water gushed up thirty feet flooding the whole block. The people came out to see the fun while the drivers rubbernecked. As i passed through the hospital parking lot a helicopter landed with an airlift. Police and security guards blocked the roads to bring the person quickly in. Next passing along a bridge over troubled water there was a fellow pedaler down being attended to by para medics. With all this going on i headed to the twin lakes where there must have been thirty-five sail boats out in formation on the water. All this excitement took me back to the asrama for the sandhya and sayana service.
O, deer doe, have you seen Krsna? The night dress that put the cap on this strange day that tracked me down today. When Gandharvika's crown fell off Bhakta Blade said that maybe that was an indication she didn't want to wear that crown. Hours of entertainment.

Today with this outfit they wore jewelry that was made for another dress but it seemed to have the right colors for this one too. So deity worship means something new every day Srila Prabhupada used to say. Daffydills in the garlands today along with roses and petals interesting mix that went well.
Around the opal cliff to the theater and then back round the shopper's corner. Rattling through the harbor and past the pleasure point. Beach crusiers and ebikes were out in force and there were some who were a cross between the team and the errander.
The lotus nails, a panel skirt for Gandharvika and a vest and belt for Giridhari. Orange and a smoky silver. The flowers were chanting gaytri as the Deities danced under the moon light and a kali kukura looked on.

Nadia Sasadhara the white rabbit of Nadia. Usually translated as the moon of Nadia it literally means the white rabbit. The full moon called for something white and this answered the call. Tulips and daisy pompoms make the garlands today. Mahaprabhu and Gandharvika have two sets of earrings each. Giridhari wears his belt under his vest in this gangayamuna dress.
Back to work Monday so the streets are full of cars. The opposite of yesterday when pedalers were in charge. Around the east cliffs, the wharf and the village. Back for the late afternoon do it all again and return for the sandhy

They call east bengal the radhadesa, call this one baby blue. In this dress they'll dance the night of Baladeva's rasayatra away.

"Who made this dress anyway?" Yeah that's an old card player's term but one day it was used in connection with this dress. It was because SGM liked the way they looked that day, but that someone didn't tell me that. Today a different one of the folks said this is such a great outfit. When did they get it?" "When we were in Navadvipa, Mom" the Bhakta Blade answered. The same garland maker today day as yesterday asked me "Can you make sure these 'Jagannatha' flowers face out so they can see the devotees?" yes was my answer. The new flute today, it caused all the devotees to smile from ear to ear.
Hosanah hesanah... today was palm Sunday so there was almost no one on the streets today so pedaling was easy and quick. That is until i got near the beach where there were still a fair amount of people. The east cliff was the only place to see anybody. Some of those pedaling today were insisting on going down the wrong way in the bike path. Since the car gang was light today it wasn't such a problem though.
The red and cream Chinese silk that's the touch that kills. Giridhari's accordion chodder and Gandharvika's swirling skirt flowed together this evening as they danced the night away.

Hiranya Padma, the golden lotus. Made and offered during SGM's visit in 1998 "many hands were there" the seamstress said. They did all the flower and other embroidery on this one. "There are so many flowers and colors in this dress that you can't make bad garlands" today's garland maker proclaimed. Today's had hyacinths, star gazers, roses, cameilias, and one of the maple tree family along with some lilacs. Down at the asrama where the water flows, the Deities' garlands extend to their toes.
Just to get out and pedal is so good for the soul. Taking the air on the road that leads to the asrama then by the ocean, the wharf and the opal cliffs, just makes it all easier to absorb the heckalers. As i went to get the swami's post someone stuck their little pointed head out their car window and screamed. Ha was all i could say and turned to return to the asrama.
The most blessed event, the night is warm and the moon is getting full, quite a night for the dance of the divine couple.
