Urvasi today. Just about the same shade as the night dress. Some floks say that it shows my lack of color talent that i can't easily see that there's such a difference between baby blue and Urvasi blue. Garlands once agian are of a wide variety of flowers and coolors. More typical of today's garland maker than yesterday's. More adeventerous and freeer spirt today's maker is a newer missionary tool Maybe that's how this maker keeps a youthful demenor.
A bright sunshiny day brought out the pedalers aguan. The warmth of the new year has been getting us out to see what has occurrred over the winter. The world's the same in aa relative way even though we're older.
Pralad-a-dad the first pannel skirt ,. Giridhari has a vest it must help him stay warm in the chill of the night. Mahaprabhu has the typical chodder and sash. All have earrings made for this outfit. ;Bhakta Blade has been the only person to notice Giridhari's new flute.

Venum kanvantam aravinda dalaya taksam... Wow! i sent Giridhari's flute to be re plated on Janmastami and today he got it back! No one said they noticed, still it's good as new shining brightly against Yudhisthira and the evil Sukini. Garlands have rose petals, dalialas, and mums an unusuall combination for a Monday.
Around the opal cliff again today. Then to the lumber yard to the pleasure point curling around the harbor sliding past the theater, bike shop and shopper's corner. The school is on the right as i head back to wake the Deities. Getting in i get them out of bed, offer their fruit and change their clothes. All ready for the sandhya.
They call east Bengal the Radha desa, call this baby blue. The night dress with Mahaprabhu and Gandharvika in the baby blue with white trim and since Giridhari's body is blue already, he gets white with gold beads along with blue ribbon trim. The fire makes it warm enough for them to dance the night away.

Today we follow the angles as the Deities wear another green and yellow dress. This one is a darker green and no reverse pleats. The garlands are some of the best they get with the rolled rose petals rather than folded ones. Also tiny mums with their "faces" out instead of being stacked one on top of the other. They say we talk with angles all the time, well maybe if we speak with the representitives of them we'll get the same benefit.
A short session today pedaling in the breeze on a carbon fiber fork sometimes even pedaling just to get down hill. The geese by the twin lakes tell us Mahaprabhu went that way."
And in the ninth the bases are loaded and you feel the presure to bring the Deities home and chanting all the way

The garlands are so long today! Both Mahaprabhu's and Giridhari's tickle their toes. There are camalilies of a couple of types. Garland maker is airily speaking of them while one of our folks with a degree in hortaculture says "there are two hundred varities" which ever way the garlands are both extra long and kind of creative today. They go well since this golden lotus dress has fine needle work flowers all over it. Quite the effort for the Radhastami day of about nine years ago.
One for the road. Pedaling out in the open road today the wind was still a factor but some of us braved the weather. The sun did show itself even through the wind making the temptation just too much to resist. Looking for adventure pedaling even with what may come our way.
The most blessed event, to be able to help the Deities to bed in their Saturday night dress. As some one passed by late in the evening i heard Srila Prabhupada say "Radha and Krsna are dancing to night."

"What a beautiful outfit!' That's one of the things the folks were saying today. "They'e been bringing in the new year with all their newest ones" i replied. Today it was "I was born at midnight, but when i heard that Vrndavana was for shallow thinkers, I fell head over heals for Mahaprabhu" Offered for Guru Maharaja's apearance last year, this one features several shades of pink and purple. These are from a collection of saris that someone gave. Nice light garlands carefully made so that the Deities don't have to feel the weight.
Wind was still around today but that couldn't keep us pedalers off the road today. Inspite of being slowed in some places and helped in others we were out there today pedaling the good fight with the wind. One of my partners asked a little winded, "How do we keep going on? Today is almost as bad as yesterday but without the rain and the dark.
Peacock crowns and effulgences top the tell me lies night dress. They have a fire to warm the night and so can be on with their pastimes without chodders or other winter gear. Now lying down only for a moment they happily engage.

Diet Olive yeah that's the name of this dress. It's too perfect, isn't it? The color of the dress is olive, it was offered for guru maharaja's appearance day and one of his favorite aphorisms was "die to live" if you move the t and o in to then it all fits. Reverse pleats on the sleeves and skirts of Giridhari and Gandarvika. Mahaprabhu only has a vest rather than a chodder. A rich chinese silk that defines soft and smooth. Dress as smooth as milk, cloth of the fine chinese silk.
The rainy chill forced barn pedaling again. Every winter seems that there are much more miles logged on the nowhere bike than out on the road. It keeps the pedal strokes even and round and ready for the road pedaling in the months to come.
A lion on the chase this evening. Purple with green Gandharivka a green choli and skirt with purple pleats and viel. Giridhari has a purple dhoti and green jacket with purple chodder. Mahaprabhu has green dhoti and kirta with a purple chodder and belt. The clear cool night invites them to dance all night

The white rabbit of Nadia, Nadiasasadhara. The full moon brought it's white dress today, another one that some folks haven't seen. Also puspa abhiseka today, everyone offered a flower. Typical Wednesday carnation garlands that wither before day's end. Giridhari has a cumberbund that he wears under his vest which is lacy and light. Gandharvika wears a belt that has an off center flower that hangs and acentuates her full hips.
The sun shone today and the pedalers have continued to ring in the new with their usual pedalings. More teams out today and people just out for the sake of pedaling. As the sun goes down at this time of year the cold comes on. So by the river trail the wind chill comes in heavy and ski masks are a plus.
The lotus nails tonight. A new chest of drawers to make it easier for Bhakta Blade to keep track of all the bling and things that otherwise might fog in his brain so much that they just won't seem the same. Then while they're out dancing the clothes and such might seem to have been rearanged.

Syama, Nila, and Aruna Live at the arena of the pure consciousness. This is the vyasa puja dress. The second time they've worn it. Another one that some of the folks haven't seen. The garlands are light like Guru Maharaja says they should be. Sometimes they're so heavy you can see the Deities bending under the weight. The devotees used to make full rose garlands for Srila Prabhupada that had four around the garlands probably weighed as much as he did. It must have been driving him mad to carry that weight but he never complained. So i hope on days the garland makers can't restrain themselves that Gandharvika and Giridhari along with Sri Guru and Mahaprabhu also accept the love with which they're made
i thought that the solstice would chase away the darkness faster than it did tonight. after the east cliff, the shopper's corner and the bickal cycle shop long the harbor and tween the twins laughing in the sunny cove all the way back to the asrama, the light disapeared and i'd left my light there so it was pedaling by sonar skill this evening. Even though it was back to routine day there were lots of pedalers out welcoming the new year.
The lions club this evening. A good dress for a cold winter night. The divine couple go out dancing and Mahaprabhu knows that's sankirtana party time and his ankle bells jingle.

Out of the mouths of babes, yellow, red, and mango. The Gaura Purnima outfit of last year. This is one that some of the folks haven't seen since their out of town so often. The petal garlands go well with the dress. A murali flute, that is eighteen inches long. This one is made from bamboo and has four knots painted butterflies around flowers complete the decoration.
Some of the same pedalers as were out yesterday finishing the year with a ride were out pedaling in the new year. No unicycles today, still many pedalers enjoyiing the crisp, sunny weather. As i went by a coffee shop some one shouted out to me and gave me a mudra we both laughed as i returned the mudra and then changed hands to match both of our hand of choice.
They call east bengal the radha desa, call this baby blue. Along with gold belts as elegant as last night but lighter and chiffonyier. In the meantime they go on enjoying with out end.
